ON THIS DAY IN POLITICS: On June 26, 2017, the Conservatives struck a deal with the DUP to keep their administration alive, after Theresa May lost her Commons majority at a general election. Remind me, who was the Labour leader who caused this upset? #labourtogether #labourfirst #jeremycorbyn

For the #Labourfirst, #thinklabour & other right wingers who haven't stop claiming the '24 victory was down to their policies this from ‪@zeteonews.co.uk‬ is what really happened. “[Keir Starmer] arrived in Downing Street carried not by a wave of enthusiasm but by a tide going out everywhere else.”

I HATE this rule allowing stuttering runs when taking penalties. If keepers have to wait until ball has been kicked then paused / stuttered run ups should be banned

#SaintsFC if the EFL impose the following sanctions, Saints beat Hull, the EFL decline the 3rd promotion spot, Saints lose to Hull, a points penalty imposed for next season. In the event of the above will you still buy a ticket for the playoff knowing Saints won't be promoted what ever the outcome.

Why do the UK media refer to it as Iran's war. They didn't start it!. It's Trump who's responsible for rising gas prices, the surge in petrol costs and, as reported in today's papers, the threat of higher mortagages. It is TRUMP'S WAR, let's make sure he gets blamed for its disastrous consequences.

De Niro: I’ve played plenty of tough, scary guys in the movies—but you know what really scares the hell out of me? What this government—our government—is trying to do to take away our right to vote…

Superb as always. The Marsh family deserves as many reposts as possible for this.

"Battle Hymn of the Republic" is not a song to be taken on lightly ... but in light of this New Year Trumpian news onslaught, we're sharing this adaptation, called "Battle Hymn of the Empire" - as Trump goes marching on, and dragging us all back to the nineteenth century. youtu.be/8saU0WeocP0

Freezing the tax allowance is politically inept. Not only will she be known as the Chancellor that took away pensioners Winter Fuel Allowance, but also the first one to tax the State Old Age Pension. #budget25 #lp #labour #RachelReeves

I asked the Home Secretary how it feels to kick away the ladder and introduce anti-migrant policies endorsed by fascist Tommy Robinson? She didn’t answer the question, calling it “beneath contempt”. The only thing beneath contempt is her pound-shop Powellism. Shame on her & this Labour government.

Trump suing the BBC is obviously a distraction (hence the ridiculous $5b damages claim, to ensure world wide headlines). My guess is the BBC will play down the Epstein files & mysteriously the law suit will go away.

Any manager coming in now will need to be reassured that Sports Republic are going to spend big in January. That is unlikely, so any manager worth their salt will turn it down, as they won't want to be set up to fail. That means we will have another untried manager & continue to fail. #saintsfc

“Our movement has outlived the past four CEOs,” said Franco, who has been elected strike captain for his store. “We’ve out-organized, we’ve out-fought. You can throw another four CEOs our way. We’re still going to be here.”

@sbworkersunited.org members are amassing in front of stores with signs, borrowing the UPS Teamsters' slogan: “Just Practicing for a Just Contract.” 38 stores held practice pickets in early October, and 80 more stores plan to do so now, our editor Jenny Brown reports: labornotes.org/2025/10/stri...
