NEW: "Donald Trump was an active participant in Jeffrey Epstein’s sexual abuse of young women during the mid-to-late 1990s," per new House Judiciary Dem report. Report has new allegation that Trump raped a 24-year-old and then promised the victim a visa & NYU admission, demanding she stay quiet.

📣📣 Abolish ICE! Abolish ICE! Abolish ICE! Abolish ICE!

NEW: Views of ICE have turned more negative among Republicans and Democrats alike (even as a wide partisan gap remains). Americans view ICE more negatively than any of the other 11 agencies asked about in the latest @pewresearch.org survey. www.pewresearch.org/short-reads/...

Well this should be illegal under general animal welfare laws.

It’s really bad that the federal government is raiding the homes of sitting congresspeople based on the fact that they’re brown/muslim. It’s important to acknowledge the state of fascism that we’re in.

It's not about placing themselves at the top. They're already at the top. It's about putting us more firmly under control. Deskilled, devalued, hyper-surveilled, desperate. That vision of fascism won't be defeated in the next two elections. It's a long fight.

I am angry tonight. Because tonight ICE shot a New Yorker. They shot a New Yorker while his five year old child was in the car. ICE makes this city less safe. We want them out. Now.

This doesn’t have to happen. Public backlash can stop it. The FCC can stop it. Don’t accept this.

2/2 Renters organized for this. KC Tenants pushed the Tenant Bill of Rights through in 2019, & Kansas Citians marched for the right to a lawyer in 2021. Now the city puts $2.6M a year behind it. Facing eviction? Ask about right to counsel at your first hearing. Send this to someone behind on rent.

New analysis of ICE detainers and arrests in 2026 with @bson.bsky.social for @prisonpolicy.org shows that law enforcement collusion tends to expand ICE arrests, and that the mass deportation project falters in places that resist. www.prisonpolicy.org/blog/2026/10...

I am a commercial airline pilot, I have been for 24 years... the idea that any pilot would allow this behavior and fly these airplanes is absolutely disgusting to me. They are a stain on my profession.

It’s fine, the bubble will pop very soon and that $600 billion will never materialize.

Judd Legum@juddlegum.bsky.social

Meta is spending $600 billion+ to build out its AI model. That model is being aggressively integrated into platforms used by 3.9 billion people. This week, Meta announced its AI will be trained on content from Newsmax, the far-right website with a history of promoting pro-Trump conspiracy theories.

I can’t stop thinking about Anthropic’s destructive book scanning. Obviously, it’s gross. People love books. Destroying books makes people mad. Even books they don't actually care about. AI companies know this, that’s why they try to keep their weird behavior a dirty little secret.
