There have been promising advancements in Alzheimer's diagnoses & treatments in recent years. But that progress will mean little if patients can't access or afford them. I joined my colleague Rep. Buchanan to author legislation that ensures access to screening tests that diagnose this disease early.

thehill.comA rare healthcare issue both parties agree on: A solution to Alzheimer’s that can’t waitBipartisan legislators introduced the ASAP Act to authorize Medicare coverage for FDA-approved blood-based biomarker tests aimed at the early detection of Alzheimer’s and other dementias.

Also, before I get fellow Leftists calling me a shitlib: I couldn't stand HRC and I voted for her. SCOTUS and the EPA were my biggest motivators. Also, if you're still calling people shitlibs in 2026, I struggle to take you seriously.

If we don't fight, we don't win. We have to work to hold everyone accountable to the law or the fascists will trample it.

This morning Oversight Dems filed a resolution in the House to hold Pam Bondi in contempt. Then surprise, surprise—they suddenly scheduled her deposition. No one is above the law.

Orban eating shit would be incredibly good news. That was the Epstein/Bannon/OG alt-right pet project for years and their model for how they want to gain permanent power. If they flip every lever there and still lose, there's real hope.

I quite happily live in a neighborhood where most people do not share my religion, where multiple languages are represented, and where people have come from a lot of different countries. Bigoted assholes always assume everyone else actually shares their bigotries.

Demand that your Members of Congress vote NO on any legislation that reauthorizes Section 702 without significant reforms to protect us from the authoritarian Trump regime. Democrats must reject the warrantless mass surveillance of American citizens.

act.indivisible.orgTell Congress to Say No to Warrantless AI Mass SurveillanceThe War on Terror-era legislation that authorized decades of civil liberties-eroding mass surveillance is set to expire on April 19. Congress should let it die. Section 702 of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) was passed in 2008 as a counterterrorism measure, but has a long history of abuse from the federal government, especially when it comes to surveillance. Congress has a choice to make: Will they greenlight warrantless mass surveillance, or hold the line and reject any effort to move forward without serious privacy guardrails? FISA as it is currently written: Allows warrantless backdoor surveillance of people in and out of the country Offers little to no protections against the administration targeting critics, activists, religious minorities, or communities of color Actively chills our freedoms of speech and association Two years ago, this reauthorization legislation sailed through Congress with bipartisan support. That can’t happen again. Let your Members of Congress know you expect them to reject reauthorization unless it includes significant reforms to protect our civil liberties against this authoritarian regime.

Regardless of whether it’s all talk, when the leader of our country expresses plainly genocidal intent, everyone has to do something. For citizens of all political stripes, it means rejecting this madness. For Congress, it means taking action to rein him in. Now.

BREAKING: Pope Leo XIV declares the Iran War is “unjust” and “is not resolving anything.” After suggesting Trump is committing war crimes by targeting civilian infrastructure, he called on Americans to contact Congress to help end the war.

23 people could stop this genocidal war criminal. That’s it. 23. 20 Republican senators and 3 republican reps in the house and he’d be out of politics forever. But they won’t. They’re addicted to power. A drug so strong they’d rather see a civilization die than give it up.

Senate Republicans refused to convict Trump after Jan 6. Republican SCOTUS appointees gave him immunity. Republicans in Congress today stand idly by as he unleashes death and destruction across the globe. We are now at the whims of a mad king because GOP leaders have refused to constrain him.

After Trump wrote, in reference to Iran, “A whole civilization will die tonight,” the entirety of the House Democratic leadership issued this joint statement:

In all seriousness, one thing that might be worth doing today: Tell your Reps and Senators to call Adm. Richard Correll, the Commander of U.S. Strategic Command, which controls the nation's nukes, and remind him of *his* unique responsibility to refuse an illegal order.

Yes, Congress is in recess. Yes, they should probably come back now. Yes, you can still call them while they're out. Call a local office! We have those numbers for you @ 5calls.org 🔥📞🔥

I called all three of mine and left voicemails. I've heard some offices have people answering their phones despite congressional recess. Feels like an exercise in futility but it's still worth doing because nihilism in the face of nuclear war is pathetic.

This is similarly derelict of duty. I'm a normal citizen with very little power of this moment but Schumer is nominally the leader of an *opposition* to all of this. And if this is the most you can muster, if you are not really opposed or acting RN, what is the point of you?

Chuck Schumer@schumer.senate.gov

This is an extremely sick person. Each Republican who refuses to join us in voting against this wanton war of choice owns every consequence of whatever the hell this is.

Whatever happens, this is a deeply shameful episode in American history that will leave a permanent stain on the country. Repeatedly vowing to commit war crimes against millions of innocent civilians is beyond the pale.
