Star Trek is now fully and completely owned by the dark side. It's like the worst Star Trek episode ever. This merger is going to allow for the MAGAfication of one of the only bright articulations of humanity's possible future. I feel just sick about it.

No one should have to prove their permanent disability every year. Same with handicap parking placards. No reason to renew them because people don’t miraculously get better.

We moved on from the fibreglass in IV saline way too quickly. How did it get there? Why was there a contaminant that could kill people in one of the most commonly used healthcare supplies? Did anyone receive contaminated saline??

Disabled people are forced to regularly “prove” they’re still disabled to maintain the meagre benefits they receive. Mitch McConnell doesn’t even have to prove he’s competent in order to vote & be paid. There’s no transparency. This should enrage you.

Never underestimate the impact of a small act of kindness. Wear a mask. Donate to a food bank. Give to a community library. Deliver supplies to a disabled or elderly neighbour. Plant a garden. There are things you can do to help, and every act of kindness is resistance.

1. Rick Steves has spent $2 million of his own money to rescue a single-screen theater in Edmonds, WA. This is part of a multi-million-dollar effort he has made to invest in community properties in order to preserve local institutions and keep them serving the communities they were built for.

Deregulation in the US will harm the most vulnerable first Disabled people who are extra dependent on the supply chain Those with food & med allergies who can’t easily switch brands. Those with food insecurity relying on food banks who can’t know if the food has been recalled. This is by design.
