When trans creators are subtle, people dismiss the trans subtext as “headcanon.” When trans creators are loud and proud, people call it “obnoxious” and “cringe.” They just don’t want us to be represented in media at all. Because they don’t want us to exist at all.

thought about this interaction and am very pleased to find it has been preserved

Meta hit with its BIGGEST FINE EVER → A fine bigger than some countries GDP! 🤯 A judge in New Mexico has ordered Zuck's Meta to pay $25 BILLION after a trial found it had lied to the public about how user data was handled. It's great to see that New Mexico is holding Big Tech accountable. 👏

I’m not a political journalist, so was gladly surprised at the community I found here last night. To Americans anxious about the upcoming elections, a key thing we learned in Brazil that might help you: DO NOT engage with the far-right online. Don’t share rage bait. Amplify your people. Ignore them.

My heart is heavy. Walter Koenig, our Ensign Pavel Chekov, passed away early today. Walter and I met on the bridge of the Enterprise in the 1960s, and we stayed friends for nearly six decades. When Brad and I married in 2008, Walter stood beside us as our best man.

During the brazilian elections we learned one obvious but important tactic to defeat the far right on the Internet and I think everyone should know it: IGNORE THEM! DON'T ENGAGE WITH THEIR CONTENT! DON'T MAKE CONTENT REACTING TO THEM! DON'T HATE QRT! LET THEM ALONE IN THEIR BUBBLE!

Fun with fake subtitles. #tadc

It's important to know how LLMs work: they predict how some text ends. That's it. That's why the early ones were literally "enter some text, and it'll finish it." The "magic" is that the text they see isn't just your input. It's surrounded by context, and filtered.

Unrelated to what I just posted, honest, but I need to distract my mind badly. Ask me anything about my OCs, please.

Seeing the ACNH section on GameBanana turn to slop is... not conducive to my wanting to continue #ProjectSpecialK. Seeing the SCI Programming forum turn to slop is likewise not exactly inspiring me to continue #TheDatingPool. I don't *want* these projects to die, but goddamn it's hard...

Whether or not you're against AI, can we all agree that the people most desperate to hype AI up, and make it seem like magic, are deeply pathetic human beings who would sell out at the first opportunity?

Hi. I, a trans woman, am the Executive Producer of this show. I wrote the question. He called trans girls men. He has now said it in three different places in the past week.

as other people have said, they wouldn’t work so hard to kneecap democracy if it weren’t a powerful weapon against them

shitting on indie animation, and im including drawovers "fixing" supposedly bad design and edits "fixing" comedic timing, is a gateway to becoming a kiwifarms chud

Me too, buddy, me too.

My own two cents on spotting genAI crap within retro game modding/hacking & homebrew communities: One of the easiest telltale signs of something being vibecoded is if the "project"/"mod"/"hack" in question uses a particular faux "pixel font" with zero variation:

In Pokémon Boy Version, it has Green on the title screen instead of Red.

Wait, wait, hold up a second. I just found out that lemons are not a natural fruit but a deliberately cultivated hybrid between citron and a bitter orange. Guys! Life didn't give us lemons we made them ourselves!
