Yet Another reason to hate EA, they are the WORST. Is theresingle example of anything that they haven’t ruined? Bloody bean counters who chase, frankly rubbish, sports “sims” which are anything but, but are easy to produce and release every year because kids want to play with the current teams FML

BREAKING: BioWare is shutting down and the next Mass Effect game is canceled, according to a new report. https://bit.ly/4ibWCiC

This is appalling

"This hatred, it’s like a cancer. It spreads because people will always say, ‘Oh, it’s just the illegals.’ It’s not. “From what I experienced, it was anyone who was remotely different, different creed, different colour, different sexuality.” www.theargus.co.uk/news/2665180...

Myles Lewis-Skelly has been offered to Manchester United and Chelsea. Not a new link with either club, but fresh contact with both following the arrival of Bruno Guimaraes. Arsenal rewarded Lewis-Skelly with a new deal last summer.🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

Myles Lewis-Skelly started a Champions League final for Arsenal less than three months ago, with Martín Zubimendi sat on the bench, and is EIGHT years younger than the next youngest senior midfielder at the club. Wherever the story is coming from, it makes no sense for Arsenal at all.

July was the driest in the UK ever, there has been no significant rain since and farmers now expect their worst harvest on record. It will surely only get worse in the coming years and yet we're still hearing more about bus fares and 'vertical drinking' than the climate

THREE extremely unethical situations at the World Cup require more football stakeholders to challenge wrongs. 1. Banishment of the Somali referee 2. Balogun red card political interference 3. Treatment of Iran team Players/managers/officials/administrators. Pressure on FIFA should be unrelenting.

HJ reposted

I think we all need to be clear about this. Whether or not the Balogun red card was harsh is completely irrelevant. Either the refereeing team's decision is final or it isn't. Clearly it now isn't, so we have a problem.

HJ reposted

I don't think Balogun deserved the red card, but I also don't like this decision by FIFA. Just as I didn't like the allowance of Ronaldo to skip his ban or the Iranian team having to go back to Mexico after every game. FIFA is corrupt, and the current American government is corrupt. Oh, go Mexico.

HJ reposted

A scandalous decision, FIFA placing its thumb on the scales of the tournament without even feeling compelled to offer a fig leaf of justification. Borderline red cards happen all the time and plenty of teams with more at stake than the USMNT have to just deal with it.

James Benge@jamesbenge.bsky.social

Folarin Balogun has had his suspension for the World Cup round of 16 match against Belgium lifted. Article 27 of FIFA's disciplinary code allows them to suspend any suspension not related to match fixing. No explanation has been provided by FIFA as to why they chose to suspend Balogun's suspension.

HJ reposted

FIFA just effectively cancelled a US player's Red Card because Donald Trump asked them to. It's time for an end to the corrupt FIFA they are now fixing the games and disgracing the sport.

Mbappe with the last laugh. No question his riposte was the perfect reaction to an absurd amount of needle jabbed by Paraguay during that game. France were able to rise above. How that yellow count ended France 3 Paraguay 0 is bonkers. The more lasting scoreline, France 1 Paraguay 0, is fine.

Bethan's Rock is a small grey stone on display at Poole Museum in Poole, England. It was donated to the museum in 2019 by a five-year-old girl named Bethan, and it has since attracted significant attention on social media and become the museum's most famous object. - Wikipedia

We need to stop treating politics like reality TV or Football. We also need journalists to report on stories and not go around creating them to justify their existence and 24 hour news

Complaining about nightlife when you *checks notes* choose to live in Soho is like living in South Kensington and complaining about the museums. Or moving to Hackney and grumbling about creatives. Living in Richmond and hating green space. It's all getting a bit silly, isn't it?

This Somali referee deportation is so grim. Embarrassing for Americans and the shameless dolts at FIFA. Maybe he could come and referee in the Prem. On the other land, eleven hours in US customs must be preferable to a seven minute and completely non-sensical PGMOL VAR review.

Don’t believe the hype or the bastards who want to divide us, London is the greatest city in the world. Diversity is its strength & the inclusiveness of the Arsenal community has long represented the very best of it.

I can still hear fireworks, tooting horns, singing, in my neighbourhood. London N5 was a mad old carnival tonight. Islington came out in all its multicultural splendour. People ran out their houses and this community celebrated with absolute abandon. The looks on people's faces was so beautiful.

🎵 ARSENAL, ARSENAL, ARSENAL Dec is proper Arsenal through and through now isn't he! Imagine finishing a massive title winning night out and choosing to pull up to the Emirates (no security) just to soak it all in. The connection is real! 😭❤️🤍

You cannot buy this. There is no amount of money that can be pumped into a football club to make this happen. The biggest club in London. The Arsenal back on top, back where we belong.
