sōm ⁂

#introduction 🧵 👋 Going pseudonymous on the internet again. Feels important to me to shed identities, like chapters to my life.

The Unix harness. It's drawing near. Small composable tools that work together needs to make a comeback against the slop towers in the harness space

scrolling @margin.at highlights is so much better than scrolling headlines. I'd kill for a "highlighted by your follows" feed! Similar to leaflet's reader feed

@sesh.codes does something I haven't seen before but is super interesting: The model also gets a dismiss question tool. If you take too long to answer the model moves on. Solves the "i went to bed but the model stopped 1m in" situations

PWA till I die 🤘🏽 fuck google and apple it's WEB or BUST baby (secret nerd option of cross platform native / TUI is allowed)

casually performance-forking a core library for specific use case tied to my app, maybe for a few versions until upstream catches up broadly and does a much better job? I do believe this is a "real" improvement and would help _my_ app, I don't think it would work well upstream. Interesting times

Iroh fixes this

They slop forked everything Everything? Everything.

Listen to old women, motherfucker (my mom)

After watching @subvert.fm first general meeting, very excited to see where platform will go. Impressions are: well armed group of youngsters putting forth earnest effort to collectivize. Organizational inertia may pay dividends by uniting punk with structure if structure meets demands of punk.

Nooooo!!!! 😭😭😭😭 I loved reading these

official indian govt had their ssl cert revoked can only imagine 4 is to blame...

Where we're headed is relatively predictable

2:30 on a sunday probably a horrible time for a launch ! oh well, wish me luck ! screenie.cam

There is no such thing as over-engineering anymore. Be as ambitious as you know how. Make perfect, fast, accessible, maintainable software.

Fungi is the third tactic we're broadly aware of now, and we barely understand it.

"My people are spread across multiple services" - @marcoarment.bsky.social As I said in The Last Network Effect: "The endgame is not Mastodon, Bluesky, or Threads. The endgame is finding communities on the web and following them all on the best platform for you." People, not platforms.

Rudy don't miss 🔥

Mother FUCKER Expected 1 day after I leave now. FUCK.

I don't like the concept of celebrities. It's probably the latent Christian programming in me but the idolatry required for their existence takes up the space of community building.

Not much makes me go holy shit anymore. But holy shit.

The numbers don't matter

This is timely, I had to take my RSS bridge down because it runs php...

all experience is closer to hallucination than we want to accept

the future of everything tbh

Labours of love are the future of development.

This is what I'm trying to do with Reams. I want to make the best software 🫡

You can now use @skyreader.app in other clients that support the FreshRSS API like NetNewsWire, Reeder, etc! Works for RSS, newsletters, and @standard.site publications. Subs, read status, and saves all stay in sync. See the docs for getting it set up: docs.skyreader.app/guide/other-...

Every mundane thing around you is a wonder inconceivable.

working on a fluoddity-like fungal terrarium

Soft launching this (still in TestFlight for a little bit) What it is: native Mac/ios/watch app that lets you run agents on your own machines It uses ACP to support a nice ui for any agent and @iroh.computer to connect your device straight to your machine.

4s all round

More @assemblage.renderg.host goodies! @semble.so collections, a command bar, preferences, and 🤞🤞🤞 maybe maybe maybe soon (thanks to @byarielm.fyi 💖) #Oauth !!! #ATscience 🧪 #ATmosphere 🌀 #ATproto 🪿 #ATberlin

if that happens, it will be too late for me to say what i ought to have said: i've appreciated all ya'll very much what a wonderful chorus of voices to have cheering in the phone! so if the networks all go down? i guess i hope you assume i was thinking fondly of you, amidst the general "oh no"

Omg my old af laptop is consistently dying now too, I think it's a hard drive failure... At least I finally got the shipping notice. Really hoping it shows up by Sunday or whatever. 🙏🙏🙏 It's coming from Taipei so I sincerely doubt it.

Things my fiance says: Im a strong independent woman so I don't need you, but also I'll be devastated when you leave, im just a girl

I'm going insane seeing this god forsaken "f" everywhere. For the love of god, choose a different font
