AI is a tool. It has its ethical uses. Particularly large form data processing. Its great when used to eliminate variables that would never work in the first place. But the AI companies want it to be used in every aspect of every industry. Its being used to replace human expression and thought.

Meticulously zooming in on the units in a game set in a universe where like a billion people die every day in a forever war to check if theres no minorities has to be a unique flavor of mental illness for our time.

It's wild to me that I watch a trailer like the one for Metroid Ravenous and just feel compelled to look at the other 2 console makers and ask "why can't you even do like 10% of this?!"

Metroid Dread was incredible. Metroid Ravenous somehow looks even crazier.

One day, we'll get a Metal Gear Solid 6 and Snake and Zero (or the new equivalents) will dump exposition via a Joe Rogan style podcast.

As a teenager, Metal Gear Solid was cool for its dramatic cutscenes, alt history/future plot and reactive gameplay. As an adult, I respect the cutscenes for giving me something to watch while I fold laundry.

So excited to play Hungry Hungry Samus.

I do wish the remake just kinda looked more like anime in the way the concept art originally did. I think it'd be more stylistic like that. But they did alright with this style.

I think the Ocarina of Time remake looks alright. Its definitely too glossy and a bit plasticy. The character models are a bit off with child Zelda and Link just kinda looking wrong. But I like the environments. Looks like a storybook. It also makes me wonder if Shrek will make a cameo.
