Genuinely: How is a normal busy person supposed to be involved in local elections with 50-150 candidates, representing parties with tiny platforms and little-to-no information about themselves, and even if they did, parsing through dozens of entries in a couple weeks is hell! Is this democracy??

The complaining about construction really gets to me too. One of my biggest gripes these days is people who live in the city who don't seem to understand or want to live in the city. There's a million people here, and growing. There will ALWAYS be construction!!

This is actually heartening to see.. Me and many people I know have avoided USA travel on principle, but with a definite feeling of, "... Not like it will make a difference." Well.

Semafor@semafor.com

Visitors to the US are on track to drop by almost two million year-on-year. “We’re the only major country in the world losing visitation,” the head of the US Travel Association said. “It’s mind-boggling.” www.semafor.com/article/09/2...

I'm just trying to be teagalitarian! Fighting for teaqual opportunity!

I have a system for arranging my teas that ensures they all get equal love from me. However, I messed something up and have had my favourite tea three days in a row now. The humanity!

The sun was touching the top orange leaves of this tree, it was absolutely blazing against the grey wall, it stunned me. The photo definitely does not capture it...

Is your goal reducing carbon emissions? Legalize apartments. Is your goal advancing social justice? Legalize apartments. Is your goal reducing segregation? Legalize apartments. Is your goal reducing housing costs? Legalize apartments.

Went to a VanPOP urbanism gathering tonight and met a bunch of very cool people doing very cool things, and I think there is a very serious risk of me starting to spend my free time making my city a better place! 🥹

#unicycle day 19. Today's goal started as trying idling but that's apparently still a ways out for me, so goal changed to sitting firm in the saddle and letting the cycle take my weight. Holy COW is my riding ever smoother. I can actually roll around corners too!

Which is worse: forgetting to put bagel mode when toasting the bagel and getting a nuclear bagel, Or accidentally putting bagel mode with the toast and getting half soggy toast?

When I record in my dream journal, I title the entry by some key element of the dream that provides "access" to the rest of the dream against fading memory. Today's: "Bowling shoes in the bean cupboard."

Wow the new update to my Pixel contains some Harry Potter marketing bullshit. Putting aside all the HP "stuff", this is still terrible, I don't need my OS to become an advertisement.

Have there been any overtly gay-lyriced top 40 hits? Was listening to some Ricky Martin on the weekend and pondering how the lyrics of his (a man) popular songs are about women (that I know of), and what the state of popular culture actually is.

These are absolutely wonderful! Be sure to view their timeline and read the posts of each tiny cross-stitch, so many gems in there!

That’s all, folks! Thanks for following along with my #100VancouverIcons. Hope you’ve enjoyed it as much as I have. See all you 100DaysProjectScotland-ers next year ❤️ #100DaysProjectScotland

Ugh, The Quiet Year has been on my list since forever, I really need to get it on the table.. 😭

Do you love any of the games that I have created? Whether it's Monsterhearts, Dream Askew, The Quiet Year, Going For Broke, or a deeper cut, now would be a great time to hit quote-tweet and tell your friends about it! It's been a slow month. 💕✨ store.buriedwithoutceremony.com

Whenever I'm in a field looking at Space Stuff, just breathing and standing because, this moment is okay how it is... I like to think about the millions of other people on the planet, looking up at the same Stuff, and try to connect with them for a moment. It's a very happy-making exercise!

In a moment very uncharacteristic for Vancouver, the clouds broke and I actually got to see Space Stuff! In a moment very characteristic for me, I ran out to the hill with the wrong lens and 12% battery on my camera, so I got what I got.

Stargazing app: There's a lunar eclipse tonight at 21:17! Me: Fantastic, thank you for telling me! How's the visibility at 21:17? Stargazing app: Absolute shite!

#unicycle day 16: I put air in the tire and HOLY CRAP it's a totally different animal now. Its so responsive and easy to make corrections, but requires about 3x the tension in my body to react. Anyways: today's goal was a figure eight, and the tight turn at the end was a bonus!

the thing about indie games is that if someone designs one single game I love, I’ll get whatever they make for the rest of their lives and pretty much always have a good time. people are so attached to ip but imo you really gotta know the creators.

Me: I'm home alone and so I'm going to slap some plain chicken on a plate next to a stale hunk of baguette and call it a meal and no one can stop me! Also me: This meal sucks! Who prepared this shit?

Sitting in my seat waiting for Bard On The Beach to being their Macbeth performance, and the music is NIN, Pink Floyd, etc. The stage appears to be some green tiled public change room or operating theatre. I'm excited. 😁

Now I'm left wondering: was that port already damaged? Or is the cable or the charger that I used the villain, ready to nuke the next expensive device I plug into it? (Both are fairly new and high quality, been used a number of times, but...)
