It's late again (I'm blaming the trip to Nagano), but here are my September matches of the month! Includes too many tributes, an Emi Sakura masterclass, sitting next to a wrestler's granny and more. Give it a read if you're into that kind of thing. ramblingsaboutwrestling.com/2026/10/05/r...

ramblingsaboutwrestling.comRamblings About’s Matches of the Month for September 2026It’s been a tough month. Credit: AEW September felt like a long month in the world of wrestling. As always, there were a shitload of shows, with some great performances on them. However, we&#…

Probably a bit of seeing what you're told is there, but that Takase vs Oka match really does have the edge of two people who don't get along. (Kinda wouldn't mind Oka channeling a bit of that more often, although preferably without falling out with anyone.)

Always a pleasure to pop onto Discworld Order and chat Terry.

The Amazing Maurice and his Educated Rodents episode of Discworld Order is out now. @iversen83.bsky.social talks about the novel that made him a Discworld fan & how Pratchett adapted the Discworld formula for a children's book. 📦 bit.ly/4z8SfMc 🍎 bit.ly/3Vk0iap 🟢 bit.ly/3TbXSdm

A band someone at the beer stand recommended to me turned out to be some entirely AI-generated bollocks, so I can't trust his opinion anymore.

The last thing he recommended to me turned out to be pretty cool, so I had high hopes, but it's depressing how little people care about the whole AI thing here.

I was charmed by Elephant Gym tonight, who aren't really my kind of thing (although they're all ridiculously good musicians), but were clearly delighted to be in Japan. They'd all written out what they wanted to say in Japanese, it was very endearing.

I knew him more for his music than his wrestling, but you only had to look at The Butcher to see that he got it. I saw ETID a bunch over the years and they were always great.

Quite funny that Oka still talks about how much DASH scares her while Reina is already out taking cute photos with her and going to sumo-related restaurants.

I don't think it will ever stop delighting me that micmic is now a Hotta and Sareee disciple who has become one of the more reliable young freelancers in the scene. The career path everyone predicted for her.

Seeing the Peter Serafinowicz Harry Potter announcement just made me think, once again, about this excellent James Acaster bit from Off Menu.

Hey, UK acting people, it would be great if you just came out and said you were totally cool with transphobia instead of making us all wait for the slow trickle of casting announcements for projects with the very openly transphobic lady to know that you suck.
