First heard about Dyatlov Pass in 2016 from an episode of LORE by @aaronmahnke.com & it's intrigued me. @astonishinglegends.bsky.social did a series on it in 2017, & I played KHOLAT from IMGN.PRO a month later Now @scishow.bsky.social & @mleembruggen.bsky.social sciencify the Dyatlov Pass Incident.

Last I'll post about this, but Elon Musk disagrees with me. This means I am onto something, and I feel more valid in my opinion than ever.

As we navigate the days ahead, I’m sharing resources below for anyone who needs support. Please keep checking in on each other. There’s no right way to feel right now. bynum.house.gov/resources/si...

It’s corrupt Ken Paxton and his sugar daddy oligarch Elon Musk v. Talarico and tens of thousands of people giving $10-100. Choose your brand of democracy.

I'm just over 1/3 of the way through the main campaign for Ace Combat 8, and I fully support all of @marioprime.bsky.social points. #AceCombat8 #AceCombat8GOTY #TopGudam

Hi. I would very much like it if black gamers/devs (specifically those from Chicago) would get in touch for a story. You can get me here or on discord @adashtra

Me, literally, for the last week at work.

IF YE ARE IN VERMONT Tonight in Burlington at Phoenix Books on Church St. at 7 pm, meet legends @chuckwendig.bsky.social and @delilahsdawson.bsky.social! Dang you folks are lucky! Did I order a signed copy of MONSTERA by Delilah so Chuck could bring it up to Canada for Can*Con? YES I DID

Breast cancer is devastating enough. The fact that Black women are more likely to die from it should be unacceptable to all of us. Every woman deserves a fighting chance, and that means access to screenings, treatment, and care before it's too late. [1/2]

Netflix is laying off 1,000 workers — its largest layoff ever. In 2025, Netflix had a net income of $11 billion (up 26%). Its CEO was paid $53M (255x more than the median employee). And it just raised prices for the second time in just over a year. Corporate greed in a nutshell.

Our MIDI Week Singles continues w/ Resident Evil themes & brings you one of the first calming songs from Resident Evil 2 that's chock full of nostalgia, composed by Masami Ueda. www.stageselectstart.com/2026/10/midi... #MIDIWeekSingles #ResidentEvil2 #MasamiUeda #SurvivalHorror #StageSelectStart

A moment of silence 😆😆

Working people deserve a fair share. Portlanders pay more for rent, groceries, and utilities. Small businesses are fighting to stay open. Meanwhile, CEOs collect enormous paychecks. Why should working people keep carrying the burden while corporations pay less?

Playing through Final Fantasy III, part of the Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster collection, got me thinking about the music arrangement selection, so I wrote about it here. www.stageselectstart.com/2026/10/thou... #FinalFantasyIII #FinalFantasyPixelRemaster #VideoGameMusic #Rambling #StageSelectStart

It's spooky season, so it's only appropriate that we pull music from the entire Resident Evil catalogue this month, starting w/ the quintessential "Peace of Mind" from the original. www.stageselectstart.com/2026/10/midi... #MIDIWeekSingles #ResidentEvil #SurvivalHorror #Capcom #StageSelectStart

4 men in plain clothes kidnap a woman—they claim to be ICE. Woman's name is Angel Zhao. She lives in Huntington Beach, California—originally Shanghai, China.

I've been playing a bit of ACE COMBAT 8: Wings of Theve and I've come up with a hot take: the game is playable and enjoyable even below the minimum recommended specs. @ Me in the comments. www.stageselectstart.com/2026/10/hot-... #AceCombat8 #HotTake #MinimumSpecs #Rambling #StageSelectStart

SO MANY SAVINGS! (Seriously though, appreciate folks continuing to take a look at this strange pile of games)

If you're a woman who plays EA Sports CFB or Madden, I wanna talk to you! And if you're a woman who loves football and don't play those games, I also wanna hear from you! Working on a piece on football, the sports video games, and well, US! RESHARES APPRECIATED

ICE arrested the mom of a 9-year-old at a school bus stop in Austin, leaving him alone and crying. The video has profanity and is heartbreaking to watch, but it shows the fear/pain of what happened. This is evil. This is wrong. And it has to stop.

So grateful I get to include this comic in my book as a way of saying thanks ❤️ kickstarter.com/projects/mrlovenstein/mr-lovenstein-presents-fun
