I’m not an expert in the field but I think a lot of the issue is monetizing the short stories. There are a ton of talented authors that write short stories and post them on Reddit as creepypastas or other self publishing sites.

Publishers: “Short stories don’t sell and are impossible to market so we are not going to take the risk of publishing them.” Also publishers: “What can we publish to fit this era of reduced attention spans when people are reading fewer novels?”

I could have sworn right wingers fought tooth and nail for the right of private businesses to refuse to do business with anybody they chose, for basically any reason.

That’s a good pull. Does Carter count from the passage? Idk if awful would be the word for Carter, maybe just misunderstood, even by himself. He just needs some time to think on it.

I learned to remember the names of the Great Lakes by using the acronym H.O.M.E.S. Now that vindictive little cunt in DC threatens to change the name of Lake Ontario to Lake America. If this happens, the new acronym will be S.H.A.M.E. That will be his legacy.

Give businesses 5 years to come into compliance by having x amount of single occupancy restrooms per x# of approved occupancy by the fire Marshall. Think of the jobs created for actual blue collar workers like contractors.

I agree but I suspect it would be argued it's the cost to retrofit bathrooms across the country would be impractical.

Stavros Halkias: I don't wanna do the both sides bullshit because it's not true. One side is worse than the other, objectively speaking. One side is disappearing people and one side wants children to have healthcare. A lot of stand up comics happened to have some of the dumbest opinions on Earth

Yeah, see, the thing is, a lot of them didn’t. Survive, that is.

Reporter asks Zohran Mamdani's former political opponent, Curtis Sliwa, what he thinks about the campaign to stop Mamdani from attending the 9/11 ceremony: “Ridiculous. He’s the mayor. Stop being sore losers.”

I think it’s hilarious that at times I’ll go longer than a month without checking in, and I’ll see a list of people blocking me every day…. “Rent free.” lol

These people either hate dogs, animals, or books, or all of the above. Either way, they fuckin suck

I agree. Every gambling ad needs to just be the text name of the company in times new Roman, and the backdrop is a sad looking person who lost it all crying looking at their phone, or in front of a casino, etc.

Give it the cigarette treatment…

How often, as a writer, do you write “BRRR-something something.” It comes off as whiny, and I’ve seen a total of 2 of your posts and articles, and both included a “brrr” section.
