Oh come on, it's not like Trump was found by a court to have raped someone before except for that one time.

Obama is the first Black president. Even if he'd done nothing he'd be the first Black president. (He did things.) Trump will be talked about for years to come, though. Just like Nixon.

Decoding Fox News@decodingfoxnews.bsky.social

Jesse Watters thinks that Barack Obama doesn't have much of a legacy and that Trump's presidency will be talked about for many years to come. He then mentioned that Trump has sons and grandsons and that Obama only has daughters....so much to unpack with this one. 🤦‍♀️

I don't want high turnout. I want the Republicans to stay home.

Blue Virginia@bluevirginia.bsky.social

Turnout in Israel has been over 6% per hour so far, with 15 total hours of voting - could turnout reach 90% by the end? Oh, and in Brazil, voter turnout in the second round was 81%. In Hungary, 80%. In Serbia, 69%. Meanwhile, in the US, will turnout for the midterms even hit 45%? WTF, America?

I think Nate Silver is basically correct that Marist (and some other pollsters) are using their LV screens to hedge because they don't believe their own results. Which, to be fair, I don't really believe them either, but that's not what you're supposed to use an LV screen for. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

This is an INCREDIBLY important point! The media & the GOP are going to make every attempt over the next few years to let the GOP move on from MAGA, Trump, etc. It is going to be CRITICAL that we keep those two things attached. We need the voters just as mad as they are now in 2028 & beyond....

If things go as we expect/hope next week (🤞), the task of every Democrat will be to never mention the words "Donald Trump" without also saying "Republican Party" so often they're melded together in voters' minds *forever*

It's going to be somewhat refreshing for all of the DSA folks to learn how "being somewhat more influential" means "dealing with the same bullshit that drove you crazy about the Democratic Party" and I for one am here for the aftermath at least.

Looks like we need to switch to "No, it's only the national DSA that's crazy, the local orgs are pretty good!" we'd been stuck on "No, it's only the local orgs that are crazy, the national DSA is pretty good!" for a minute there.

You can argue Biden should have been tougher on settlers, and I agree, but the idea that Biden did nothing on settlements is belied by the fact that Biden is the only president to have done anything to fight back against them.
