Yesterday we finished walking the Great Glen Way. Over 23 miles from South Laggan to Fort William. The weather was not the best, it rained most of the walk and with a very strong headwind. I can see why most people walk this coast to coast route from west to east, with that kind of win in your face.

We saw some very beautiful landscapes. The hardest part was actually walking along the Caledonian canal sections. That was the mix of bad weather and less sense of making progress along the flat towpath. Just over 77 miles walked in total.

I loved this book as a kid and the film. Any bookeith a map always has intrigued me.

Outside the window, there was so much to see, and hear, and touch—walks to take, hills to climb, caterpillars to watch as they strolled through the garden. There were voices to hear and conversations to listen to in wonder, and the special smell of each day.

Well I made it to Litomyšl for the Jan Švankmajer: Reliquaries and Fetishes exhibition at Miroslav Kubik Gallery! What a thrill, got to meet a couple of bonafide movie stars in the White Rabbit and Little Otik. Also great to see some brand new pieces for 2026 - 92 and still going strong..!
