late night thoughts before I fall asleep, I think it's kinda depressing seeing how quick some people are to find a reason to bring somebody else down. even somebody they've never met before and know nothing about, like their entire goal for the day was just to piss on somebody else's parade.

point me to a single person who spent their life doing nothing but bringing down those around them, who woke up every day with the goal of spreading hatred, and tell me how they're remembered and looked at today. tell me if they were happy in their final moments, or if they regretted being cruel.

and no I don't mean "use doublespeak and say mean shit in a nicer way" or whatever, just stop saying malicious and hurtful things to begin with man, why is that such a difficult concept for so many people to grasp?? speak with honesty, with kindness, and with respect. act like a fucking adult.

I know it's obviously overly optimistic thinking to just say "just be nice guys, it's so easy" but like... it really is just that easy. you can choose not to say hurtful things just as you can choose *to* say them. you can choose to not start a meaningless argument. you can choose to just be kind.

can you imagine how much happier the entire world would be if we all just collectively stopped saying and doing shit that hurt others for no reason at all? one less stressor off every single person's shoulders. one less raincloud over every person's head. a lot less negative thoughts in the world.

when there's already so much happening in the world to bring people down, and when people are already struggling to find lights at the end of all their respective tunnels, why would you willingly choose to just... make things worse? you don't gain anything from it. you certainly don't help anything.

It's so incredibly easy to say something nice about somebody. do you not feel joy when seeing your actions make somebody else happy? does your heart not lift seeing somebody else smile and laugh because of something you did or said? are you truly so miserable?
