Really chuffed with the reaction to our showcase featurette video. The whole team has been working really hard for years on this game and it's really rewarding to see people hyped for it!

The Cassette Beasts 2002 Showcase is now LIVE for your viewing pleasure! If you're a returning fan or a first timer, come and watch our showcase of features and gameplay in our upcoming indie monster-recording RPG! 💙 www.youtube.com/watch?v=KRp0...

Funny to see guys with "founder" in their bio insist that everyone secretly loves AI art and its here to stay meanwhile games on Steam Next Fest right now are having to add "no AI" stickers to their key art to stand out because there's so many AI slop demos on show

All the games being surfaced for me in Steam Next Fest have names like: - Bread vs Butter - NHS Simulator 2026 - Human Rights Violations (survival horror) - Farts Clinic (a friendslop game) - Cozy Candlestick Menagerie (from a dev later revealed to have toxic management on Reddit)

Really proud that we've been able to do one of these "Cassette Beasts Showcase" stream events every year. This one's gotta be my favourite yet, really can't wait for it to debut!

WEDNESDAY 21 OCTOBER 3PM BST THE CASSETTE BEASTS 2002 SHOWCASE GET IT IN YOUR DIARIES!

It's simple: when star wars is about "lore" and "darth vader", it's bad. When star wars is about a crocodile with shades that drives a race car, it's good.

Kitbashed a Dire Avenger Exarch for a Kill Team because I didn't want to buy a whole box of toy soldiers for one particular toy soldier. It's close enough!

Saw this post getting engagement again and knew the real-world Whizzy Brothers were up to something

Games shouldn't cost $100. Games should in fact cost £2, come on a cassette tape, only run on a 20kg computer that you could only buy in Britain in the 1980s, and be made over the course of six months by two 19 year-olds known only as "The Whizzy Brothers".

While you're waiting on Cassette Beasts 2002, why not treat yourself (or a friend) to the OG? Cassette Beasts is now 70% off in the Steam Autumn Sale (and there's discounted DLC too!) Get the kettle on, you've got some creature collecting to do.

Really funny how phones now have automated robot answering machines to answer suspected robot spam calls. No human intervention required. Phones now existing as robot PvP devices completely divorced from benefitting society in any way. It rules.

video games as a whole make hundreds of billions of dollars a year and apparently somehow nobody can make any money on them or pay anyone to make them

Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave is a game that asks, "what if you got to compete in the Olympics and hang out in the Olympic village, but also Alucard was there?"

Probably the most I've anticipated a Nintendo title in years!

Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave is a strategy RPG great and an essential for the Switch 2. It's also just an absolutely sumptuous feast of a video game. Our review: www.eurogamer.net/fire-emblem-...

"There are too many wars across the world causing immeasurable pain, none of which should be tolerated."

Ed Sheeran has released a statement on Macklemore being removed from his tour for speaking up for Palestine: “I am not complicit. […] Just because I choose not to speak publicly, it doesn't mean I don't have [my own opinions], and it doesn't mean I don't care.”

Kind of surprising that, in response to being called a coward, Ed Sheeran's defence also includes "my music is for children and also has no political value"

A strangely funny Gamescom experience is reading a tweet insisting GTA6 is the "crown achievement of humanity" and then getting to visit, like, the Cologne Cathedral in the same day

New episode! Once you've made a successful game, what are the pressures and opportunities of making a sequel? Pod pal @jaybaylis.bsky.social returns to talk us through his studio's approach to this with Cassette Beasts 2002. Listen wherever you get podcasts: open.spotify.com/episode/6FNK...

Still very surreal that we got to collab with the singer of "Live and Learn" for the main theme to our weird British RPG. Live and Learn! From Sonic Adventure 2! That one!!

Beast Spotlight #4: Reapurr Element: Beast Reapurrs exist as a naturally occurring population control in Nodnol, culling beast numbers when they grow too large. In their immature states, they aren’t able to harvest most souls - only miniscule beasts, or perhaps large vegetables.

Absolutely hooked on The Incident at Galley House. Genuine GOTY stuff. Has the potential to be a really annoying "don't look anything up about it just play it!"-style recommendation to people.
