monday was my first day at new job where I only have one day in-office. public transit meant I was able to get there with a single transfer each way even though it is 14 miles and several cities away, and I did in fact get to read a lot of book

if you are considering reading discworld, please, do it in release order. the world itself is an evolving character and if you read the series by “main storylines” you’re going to lose out on some really interesting worldbuilding, since the release order is basically chronological order

an exception to the rule of the books being chronological in release order is small gods, which covers the development of the only monotheistic belief that has a foothold in modern ankh-morpork, and if you skip over it you’re gonna be a bit baffled when a character shows up acting like a mormon

I’ve been following kingfisher since she was partway through writing digger and although I do not read romantasy as a rule I will go out of my way to read this conglomeration of stories within this universe because I am compelled by the magical and political details going on
