I played tennis with a toad. I was set adrift in the cosmos. I flew into the mouth of a beast. It was just another day in the third dimension.

@grubb.wtf I mentioned this in chat during UPF, but I will recommend it again. Stunt Boost really seems like a Jeff Grubb game. It is fingerboarding + neon white + trackmania with leaderboards. It rules!

I just hit credits on Splatoon Raiders. I loved it! I would be more than happy if Raiders sequels became the norm between mainline releases.

OoT remake was a no win situation. If they changed too much, people were gonna complain that its gross or slop because its not n64 graphics. If they didnt change enough, people will complain because they already have the visually faithful 3DS remake. I think it was neat.

People who get so mad at others for TRYING in multiplayer games are behind pathetic. If you are unironically using the term "sweaty," then you probably don't wanna play the game that much to begin with, you just want to win. It is the most grade-school mentality bullshit.

UFO 50 is a miracle game. It is just so special and it bums me out how little I see people talk about it in these spaces. I think I understand why, it asks a lot of you, but there are just so many wonderful ideas here. It is such a testament to indie devs that they could even pull it off.

How does Activision have more reverence for their IP than PlayStation? Crash, Spyro & Tony Hawk have all gotten multiple remakes and collections in the last decade. The best PS can do is references in Astro Bot. Closing Bluepoint is baffling with so much IP just sitting there.

The mentality that anything less than a 9/10 isn't worth playing is absurd to me. The argument is always that time is currency and it shouldn't spent on the mediocre, but that feels like a way to avoid actually developing your own tastes. I hope its a reddit thing and not a thing real people do.

I just assume anyone with this mentality is the most boring person imaginable. Metacritic shouldn't be the sole arbiter of what art you engage with.
