ICE has awarded $28 million to Teya Diversified Solutions to serve as caretakers for “mothballed” warehouses. Teya is yet another Alaskan Native-owned company contracted by ICE to support its detention facilities. The award was issued on a sole-source, noncompeted basis.

Oh look, another culture war headline. I am sure it has nothing to do with the billionaires writing campaign checks. Imagine believing the enemy is 1% of the people while they vote themselves more tax breaks 🙄 Such a shock. #HoldTheCrooksAccountable

Trump just quietly approved the construction of a #DataCenter on #PublicLand in southern Nevada — the first data center allowed on public land. We've already filed an appeal against this dangerous development, but we need your help to show the scale of public opposition ➡️ bit.ly/4fGlM7W

Remember Initiative 95? It's now Amendment 81 on your ballot, and the coalition's latest polling is sobering: it would pass if the vote were held today. It would push local police into doing ICE's dirty work and invites racial profiling, things CO voters have rejected for over a decade.

After a months-long occupation, Minnesota is still recovering from a retribution campaign waged by the federal government. Now, Minnesota stands with Houston in demanding accountability for the fatal shooting of Lorenzo Salgado Araujo. This bloodshed cannot be normalized.

Following the killing of Lorenzo Salgado Araujo, DHS is using a familiar playbook: they are blaming Salgado for his own death by asserting he “weaponized his vehicle.” It’s a narrative that law enforcement agencies frequently employ to justify fatally shooting of unarmed motorists.

From New Jersey to Texas, ICE is brutalizing innocent people who have committed no crime. These facilities—prisons—have become black boxes where people are denied basic necessities like adequate food, water, and healthcare.

Yes, this makes much sense. Every few years I re-read the chapter on War Propaganda in Mein Kampf to remind myself of what propaganda is, and how it does what it does.

I wrote about two popes, Edward Bernays, propaganda, immigrant detention, and AI. I guess we'll find out if it makes sense to anyone else.

Trump plans to pay insurrectionists with our tax dollars. Every Member of Congress, regardless of party, should be opposed to the regime’s $1.8 billion slush fund. Email your elected officials and demand they reject this blatant corruption and theft of taxpayer dollars.

Yesterday, we post about the Trump administration’s plan to require all federal workers to sign nondisclosure agreements. The government is not a business. It exists to serve the public and the public has a right to know how it’s being run.
