one thing that keeps your pages fast is developing on a not so fast computer. my M1 mac mini with 16GB of RAM sometimes struggles with your landing page, and it should definitely not. please don't let that happen.

So, show-and-tell time… (this’ll be a thread, strap in folks!) Back in the day I used to draw a little cartoon whale on a post-it note…. It looked like this.

p5 2.0 will launch soon and will include a way to write shaders with the JS you're used to rather than having to learn GLSL! Luke, who wrote the feature, is making a tutorial where you can make this without writing a line of GLSL:

introducing Uncharted: a new natively reactive, composable and typesafe chart library + tooling for #svelte 5.

bringing inspiration from libraries like Bits UI where components are built in "layers", Uncharted allows to bring in whatever layers you want for your chart, as well as allowing full customization of every layer.

want a grid? you have it. want tooltips? you have'em. don't want X axis? just don't include them. want to make a custom and reusable tooltip? make a "MyTooltip.svelte" component and use that instead. sky's the limit. peek into the uncharted!

also my laptop's battery goes down faster using nextjs and chrome than it does using zen (firefox) it also consumes more battery usong nextjs in firefox, much less though i have no data to show and i refuse to elaborate

cant explain this but nextjs is chrome and svelte is firefox

did you know that ghostty allows for icon color customization, even on layers? you can use these directives to change the color of the ghost and screen independently

apart from the insane work from Thomas gathering and tidying all this info, how insane is it that you can check all this data ON YOUR PHONE? no lag whatsoever experience what truly good engineering feels like @graphext.bsky.social

Ecosystem of 350k models and datasets on @hf.co's hub, connected to other models or datasets they were derived from (where that information exists, which is not the case for another 1M entities) #databs public.graphext.com/d9275e17cc44... Color, filter and search within each of the 30 variables...

really appreciate "big picture" people around me im such a "small picture", detail person big props to people that can see far away and offer tons of context and direction, lots to learn

how do you all remember every UUID? I find it really hard. so I wrote them all down on every uuid dot com the list has fast search across all 2^122 values (so you can find your favorites) - hoping to add some social features like "trending UUIDs" soon!
