there are a lot of things to be angry about in this post but I choose to be infuriated that the united states secretary of state doesn’t know the difference between “discrete” and “discreet”

Did he think this was a private message or something?

Yulong Snow Mountain in Lijiang, Yunnan, one of the more beautiful places I have ever seen. We took a cable car up to the top - 15,000 ft!

I feel upset and angry every time I learn about another act of senseless gun violence, but today’s school shooting in my hometown feels like a gut punch. And the worst part is you know nothing will change for the better.

I’ve been feeling down and burnt out. Trying to remind myself to keep things in perspective. I’m also ready for a vacation.

Spent a morning learning about the refugee and immigrant experience in Hong Kong with the Centre for Refugees. If you ever visit Chunking Mansions I hope you make a stop at the Centre to learn about this important community. www.cfr.org.hk/about

"Meanwhile, Jane Doe dropped out of Cornell and was denied her request to get her tuition refunded so that she could transfer to a different college. She hence faced more severe consequences than most of the men who she alleges gang-raped her." www.thecut.com/article/what...

Escaped the mid-autumn crowds with a hike on Lamma and then went straight into the crowd to check out the lantern festival (chaos). Lovely Saturday in #HongKong

I met a guy last night who vibe codes Roblox games for a living. A game a day! I feel like I don’t really get it and we live on different planets. Is this just AI slop? Would I be a millionaire if I did this?

Today’s not my day. Went in for SMILE procedure and then was told they can’t do it because I have irregular shaped cornea. Then I went to eat my sorrows with a burrito but they brought me out a bowl instead 😩

If you read the instructions carefully, the first step to making any microwavable lunch is to throw away the box & then dig it out of the trash again.

Just spent an unreasonable amount on sad chicken strips at LAX because airports are a rip off and calories don’t count within these walls

Being back home is so weird. I don’t know anyone anymore and if I do recognize you I’m probably going to hide but also I want friends

The Hong Kong Airport Express is so amazing. You’re telling me you can check-in for your flight in Central, dropping your bags and just mosy on through? Front door to gate in less than an hour.

I’m watching Widow’s Bay right now which is so silly and creepy. If you need a new show to watch this is a good one. Also such a good cast.

'We limit screen time at home for the sake of children’s wellbeing, yet some schools are dramatically increasing it during the school day. It is almost impossible to enforce healthy boundaries when the very institutions educating our children are normalising constant device use.'

The news is so terrible so I guess I’ll enjoy this story about Chonkers

He swam up to Pier 39 a month ago and hasn’t left, captivating locals with his massive frame and disregard for his dockmates’ space. on.wsj.com/4e5N34s

I was the surprise reader in my 5 yr old son’s class this morning and it was just so much fun. The questions, the curiosity, the cuteness! The best.
