As well as painting miniatures, I do photography too. This shot generated some real issues I hadn't anticipated. I hadn't realised how green the skin would be with the sun reflecting off the fauna. So much faff was needed in Photoshop.

A while back my family and I went to a pride event. They had a fun fare and everything but what struck me the most is that it was absent of bell ends. No gammon swilling beers looking for fights. Just genuinely lovely people just having fun. Also, no surgery tents converting people.

Finally happened, my father passed away at 3pm today. Managed to say goodbye on Sunday, not sure who benefitted from that really. I've had good people, friends and family, around me to make sure I didn't turn out like him.

Today I said goodbye to my dad. We did not have a good relationship. I have felt anger and rage throughout my life because of him. Yet still, it hurts.

Visited by family friends yesterday. He was proud he's been creating music, with AI. Now to be fair, he's creating segments of drums etc, then putting them into the likes of cubase and fruity loops, heavily editing, then putting together. The killer though, he's also using AI for therapy....

I have done a thing. Whilst I've been painting miniatures, I have also been working on a scenery board that I can use to take photos of miniatures. Still a work in progress, but it's getting there. I've worked with real models too in a studio, but looking to carry those skills into shooting minis.

The Dark Elf is a lot more fiddly than the Orcs, but progress on all four. Different styles going forward. Black undercoat for the Orcs and Goblins and my more "old school" approach, whereas with Elves it has to be white undercoat and more precise work. #oldhammer #warhammer #miniaturepainting

Last week was in Cornwall, absolutely loved the Eden project. Probably a good job I didn't take my camera because I could have easily spent three days taking photos.

Skin now done on the Orcs. I still have my old Windsor & Newton brushes from the 80s/90s, and a Da Vinci brush. Great brushes. Have some Citadel brushes and they're "ok", and have some others that are "meh". #warhammer #miniaturepainting #oldhammer #Orcs #moga
