It’s a weird time to work in system verification/FM. Verifying an OS kernel is possible three months (arxiv.org/abs/2609.04043) and everyone wants to secure systems from the infinite red-team robots but very few people are aware of both or even know what correctness means for a given domain. 🫠

A key conceit here by the original author is that the believe their money is worth more than just the services they traded it for. They want double credit for spending their money like they’re operating a charity and not participating in a transaction for the value those workers provide.
