Eight months in, the decision to go to war with Iran is looking like the worst presidential decision since the last Republican president blundered into a needless Middle East war.

Nearly eight months in, Trump's needless war has turned into a strategic, economic, and political fiasco. Whodathunkit? Practically anyone with a knowledge of the Middle East and the energy markets.

Really cool graph from @ernietedeschi.bsky.social on the bad site. Gen Z is the wealthiest generation in history controlling for age. Millennials are now finally wealthier than previous generations were at the same age. We are a very rich country. The problem always is bad distribution of wealth.

3/4 Thanks to everyone who said complimentary things about the hardback, and also to the critics, who at least seem to have read most or all of the 500 pages. These days, that's quite an ask, I realize.

4/4 Finally, I'm planning on doing some more talks related to the book, beginning next week at Skidmore and Bard. If you are interested in having me speak to your class or group, please get in touch.

2/4 Most of the book is unchanged from the hardback, but I updated the final chapter: "The End of Capitalism, or the Beginning?", which briefly addresses the optimistic and pessimistic takes on AI.

David Plouffe, a Coinbase adviser, is on MS NOW the same day that the Fairshake super PAC it bankrolls announces it will spend $30M vs. Sherrod Brown in #OHSen. Last year, Sen. Tim Scott publicly thanked crypto industry "for getting rid of Sherrod Brown." Brown had called for consumer protections.

The Trumps would only do this stuff if they felt invulnerable, which apparently they are.

Q: Was it appropriate for POTUS' son to accept a gift from a friend of Putin? Will you investigate? BLANCHE: The president doesn't know who this person is. Other members of the family don't know who this person is. The president's son has said he's a very close friend. So am I investigating what?
