Just completed. Loved your book. Good luck.

Big day today for ending centuries of secrecy about who owns our land! A new government consultation will propose revealing who owns the vast majority of England and Wales. To get this over the line, I’ll need your help to send in supportive evidence! www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2026...

What's happening in France is hard to justify but easy to understand. In 1981 the UK had riots because 1 in 10 were unemployed and couldn't afford to eat. In 2026, 1 in 5 are IN WORK and can't afford to eat. What happens when AI doubles that number? What levels of policing will control it?

The King doesn’t have a “private income” is all been acquired from the public over the centuries. So we have all just paid Andrew’s debts.

RNLI station closed and volunteers who risk their lives silenced by fascists hiding behind masks supported by far too many. Obscene. Please donate to RNLI today if you can.

Good plan, Australia and Canada. Huge sigh, UK. How long do we wait, how much do we lose, how stupid do we have to be?

Best for Britain@bestforbritain.org

Australia and Canada are leading the way - they are choosing closer ties with the EU. The EU is our closest partner. The UK government should put EU membership on the table. It's really a no-brainer.

I’m just a person on my fucking knees begging the government to use its absolutely massive majority to do something extremely fucking popular: save our democracy.

Sir Edward Leigh MP: “What is happening in the West Bank... is ethnic cleansing... I am proud to say, as the longest-serving member of the Conservative Friends of Israel, that I absolutely and fully support what [Ed Miliband] is doing today, because it’s about standing up for freedom and justice"

9/ And we need the Government - DEFRA, DESNZ, DoH, and Number 10 - to finally prioritise defending the nation from the climate crisis. More staff driving the plan. A new National Adaptation Plan (due by 2028) that's actually implemented. And restoring nature to defend against extreme weather. /Fin

Personally, anyone who complains about the pub or music venue that they have just purchased a property close by should be ridiculed.

It is truly stupid for London planning to be decided at the level of councils rather than at the level of the mayor. Actually people from all 32 boroughs work in Westminster and need to have a say and we have a democratic institution perfectly placed to achieve that: the mayors office.

Absolutely and as far as I am concerned Shabana Mahmood should feature in none of them.

Sarah Murphy@13sarahmurphy.bsky.social

Quite possibly. I’m just hoping for some courage, a refusal to do the bidding of the right and a persuasive and effective strategy for govt.

He’s a huge asset to Russia whether he been paid or not is unknown. He’s self evidently a thin skinned, racist, sexist, antisemite, grifting, bully. But, of course, not in anyway part of the Establishment, well actually…

Sarah Murphy@13sarahmurphy.bsky.social

The £5Mill-Farage-crybaby-by-election-farce is the funniest political blunder of recent times. He’s now campaigning against a bin. And Reform losing their shit in a frenzy of humourless self-righteousness just makes the whole thing even funnier and more absurd. Keep going guys. We needed this.

So, a joke MP with 5 houses bought for cash, links to criminality and a £5Mill ‘gift’ in his bank… is so enraged at being held to account… that he resigns from the MP role he never did anyway…and demands a “people v the establishment” by-election to vote him back in. What an insufferable wanker.

NF dragged my children into politics by ending our FOM, I really don't care if his children get dragged in too. Especially, when they still have their FOM.

It’s a source of joy that the economics of renewables are(can undeniably) beating the fossil fuel lobby because, hey, market forces. However, it a source of terror that if we reach the point of no return, there’s nothing we wouldn’t pay to stop it. I hope that the former happens before the latter.

Absolutely. It’s a ridiculous and outdated concept that embeds inequality. Another reason why we are not a serious country.

I want to live in a proper, functioning democracy. A place where anyone can rise to the top. Ultimately monarchy tells us that hereditary elites are the only people who can rule this country and that by dint of their birth and divine right they are better than the rest of us. It's 2026 not 1326!

Royal family what a con, don’t tell us their income nor wealth, what they pay is voluntary and sounds like a big number (but is it?) and then, to rub salt in the wound, tell us despite the state paying £379m to refurbished Buck Hse, Charlie boy and his ex-mistress can’t be bothered to live there.

IMO he’s a traitor. Whether he has accepted money from Russia is unknown or from anyone who realises that he a grifter who will do anything for, relatively, little money for the billionaire class and cares nothing for the fools who support him.

Five-Mil Farage #FIVEMILFARAGE

It’s called Net Zero because of the physics (actual science!). Until we achieve it, the world is only going to get hotter. Anyone who says otherwise is a liar with a vested interest in fossil fuels, conned or a fool. We have known this for decades and China is taking it seriously.

Sadly, NF didn’t have a triumphal return to the media on this historic day of celebration of Brexshit, even Nick Ferrari wasn’t happy with his crap today. Fetch me my smallest violin.

These “big” successful men (Trump and his hangers on) all prove to be deeply inadequate, thin skinned, insecure, cowardly bullies. Also a great book, buy it.

Today I ‘interviewed’ Facebook whistleblower on stage at Hay…& she couldn’t say a word. Facebook took legal action to prevent her speaking. What pathetic, pointless vindictiveness. www.theguardian.com/technology/2...

Politicians skirt around it. The media skirts around it. But, we have a very sinister far right, racist problem in the UK. Reform and Restore… two cheeks of the same hideous arse… flooding the zone with their hate, their lies and their howling inadequacy. If they’re our future, we’re done for.

Billionaires’ puppet.

Sarah Murphy@13sarahmurphy.bsky.social

So finally we know what “Brexit benefit” actually means.. A £5million payment to Farage. Our country is now deeply divided, poorer, unhappier, less influential, less secure, less welcoming and less democratic… But Farage is a multimillionaire. What a fucking disgrace.

Russian asset whether paid or not and billionaires’ puppet

It's about time somebody held this skeevy, chiselling, greedy little goose-stepping conman to account, and finally wiped from his goddamn face that smile like the brass plate on a coffin lid. www.theguardian.com/politics/202...

Above all he’s a traitor and a coward.

Parody Nigel Farage@parodypm.bsky.social

Note to journalists: thank you for treating me as though I have just become Prime Minister, but if you dare to ask me about the £5 million I got from a crypto billionaire I will shut you down like the petulant little shit I am.

For me, the assisted dying legislation was far too restrictive. It’s my life and I want autonomy over my death. Shame on the HoL in thwarting it. Our aim should be about adding life to years (not years to life) and enabling dignified deaths.

I have halved my electricity bill for a basically all electric large house. Pay back in 6 years. Unfortunately, there’s a lot of propaganda suggesting it’s not worth it etc.

By 8:15am today solar was generating 70% more than our baseload usage. On a cloudy day, in England, in April!

Maybe he could pop in for the May elections?

Ed Davey@eddavey.libdems.org.uk

Has anyone noticed that wherever JD Vance goes, he just makes a mess. In Munich he insulted European allies. In Greenland he turned everyone against Trump. And now he’s helped Viktor Orbán lose re-election. Maybe better to spend more time on the couch VP.

Reform really do expect their voters to be properly stupid, don’t they? Seriously, who would fall for this shit? And Jenrick… ugh… what a nasty little opportunist he is.
