In essence, I tend to appreciate BioWare games more than anything, though I was big on Mass Effect 2 and Inquisition. I'd honestly like to play the older DAs again, but I figured this and Andromeda would be more interesting to check out.

Yeah, I'm just not an Osgood Perkins guy. Honestly, the simplicity here is appreciated, but it's ultimately too simple and straightforward. Is exactly the movie you expect, and while Maslany does her best, there's nothing here to get excited about! Some cool monster design, I guess, briefly.

Very watchable while being entirely middle of the road. The romantic aspect of the film is awkward for ultimately being so motivating, and the angle of "he just kind of goes crazy" is lacking. Still, the leads do their best, and the club scene was a lot of fun.

As a Zero Escape fan, this one's a major bummer.

Reading this Famitsu interview Uchikoshi did and it seems that the reason the Crash Keys game was canceled was because *Uchikoshi* wanted to use AI, not the publisher. This snippet is driving me nuts. Makes all the posturing with Hundred Line read extremely shallow.

I think people intuitively understand that democratic candidates tossing trans kids to the wolves is not only morally repugnant but also politically ineffective, otherwise they wouldn't freak out every time someone said they weren't voting for a democrat who did this

None of us should forget this. Meta should be subjected to corporate death penalty and permanently broken up into small pieces.

Thank you, thank you, thank you to everyone who spared a thought for my country today, who amplified information about the coup d’état attempt, and worried about Brazil’s democratic future—the world’s democratic future. We won! Women won! The Amazon won! Young people won! Democracy won! Hope won!

‪A lot of people think I’m joking when I say we need to traumatize children with movies again, but NO I 100% mean it.‬

I've talked up this pitch a lot, but I want to shout out my co-creator @biankatdraws.bsky.social for being an absolute dream to work with! Her character designs and pages on this are bursting with life and personality, and I think her art will do more to sell the book than anything else.

One last lettering pass, and this new romcom pitch is ready to go on submission! This is one that I both love to bits personally and believe should have a very strong shot of being relevant to the modern YA market, so I'm very excited to send it out.

I love how animation completely saved the entire entertainment industry during COVID, and its reward was being taken around the shed out back and given the Ol Yeller.

Netflix has told several people going forward with new pitches that they plan for all animated shows from now on to be AI. I've heard this more than once now.

This one's way over-hated! Like, it's not a good movie, and it's an adaptation of Silent Hill 2 devoid of any emotional resonance, but it's competently made, does a good job realizing a lot of monster designs, has decent cinematography, and has a distinct visual style. I've endured way worse.

You'll never catch me saying it's underrated or a hidden gem, but as a throwback to how video game movies used to be, I did enjoy the viewing. I went in expecting a cinematic abomination, and this was simply not that.

The responses at release had me expecting something truly ruinous, but so far, this is about on par with the vibe of most video game adapatations of the 00s. So in that way, it's kind of a throwback.

Our working title ended up very close to this, so I'm making this our unofficial theme song lol. youtu.be/P3ue1JPFXEU?...
