Because eMudhra is in the news, I am sharing a screenie of a footer of an email I once received from them in reply to my query about my PAN card (a government-issue tax identity and card).

No joke. I think this is the most important video I have ever seen about mobile games. This guy breaks down how this game psychologically profiles you, and makes the game harder or easier in order to show you ads

Replying to @apenwarr.ca

I’m increasingly coming to the conclusion that I don’t believe in AI alignment at all. Like, wait, you’re going to build superhuman hacking machines and your security solution is to ask them nicely not to break in? What is this, 1983? Lock the doors. Figure it out. We‘ve lived this movie.

It's worse than this. Because in the early morning of October 7, Israeli intelligence picked up signs that Hamas was doing something - but concluded that it was likely just a drill. Had Netanyahu passed along the specific warning from MBZ that Sinwar was planning something big and imminent ...

I’ve seen multiple people reference “bin Laden determined to strike in US” and the Oct. 7 intel error was much worse. The US is huge. The warning was vague, not actionable. He’d like to somewhere at some time. Israel is small, Hamas is a top intel target, the warnings were direct and actionable.

Gutted to hear about Dolly Parton. She did so much to make the world a better place. Whatever good she got in this world, she deserved better

Interestingly, I get an error when clicking on bsky trending topics but everything else seems to be working? Gonna assume that's a caching problem and it will work itself out

Welp, it took 0 days for me to run into a bug, patch part of Cirrus' oauth handling using Claude (luckily there is an unreleased PR with feedback already that addresses my issue), and yolo push that to my personal pds! So that didn't take long

just had a fun chat with the head of HR. Apparently she posted 2 jobs last thursday - "cg director" and "developer". The former got 30ish applicants so far, but the dev position has gotten 1600 so far

Shame on the cabal of top scientists who mocked me and other dissidents for challenging their sordid Covid origins cover-up. It is now beyond doubt that they betrayed both humanity and science - and there should be retribution. My MoS column mol.im/a/16005037

mol.imScientists mocked my Covid leak theory but I was right: IAN BIRRELLLike many others, I was struck by the strange 'coincidence' that Covid erupted in the city with a secretive lab containing the world's biggest repository of bat coronaviruses.

every now and then I get reminded that it is possible for art to be both skillfully executed, fun, poignant, and timely and it makes me sad that more of the art that I see achieving success is not like that. Anyway, Operation Mincemeat (the musical) transcends its medium and is very worth a watch

Lots of first hand interviews with real people affected by the strike in various ways (strikers, locals losing money because of how the strike affects business, vacationers who can't do the thing they came for). Real journalism that informs and educates!

it's sad that the ADL has turned into such a trash organization, like far too many other Jewish "public institutions". Just disgusting. Too easy just to say that they don't speak for me, too difficult to know what else to do about it.

This is an absolutely fascinating article about a very bizarre event. Obviously from my perspective the most interesting angle here is the fact that ChatGPT is clearly just spinning SCP-esque containment documentation at Lewis

I wrote about how Geoff Lewis, one of OpenAI’s long running investors, has sparked concern among peers who believe he may be facing a public mental health episode brought on by ChatGPT. futurism.com/openai-inves...

@cloudflare.social Hi! Hate to do this but I've had a ticket open for a week with no response about getting back superadmin access to a cloudflare account - we need it to pay our bill so our access to services will no longer be restricted. We're coming up on a launch date and getting nervous. Help?

just went to see the Dylan movie and wtf was up with those previews... I don't fault them for the two marvel movies, but FOUR horror flicks back-to-back?!? Are those really for the same target audience as a nostalgia romp through folk music?
