A few weeks ago, I shared the idea of analyzing contributorsโ€™ text for signs of automation. Now it's an app and a GitHub Action you can add to your anti-clanker Swiss Army knife. It's still an ongoing experiment, but it seems to capture the patterns in PR and issue descriptions reasonably well.

ECMAScript excitement ๐Ÿ˜‰ Congrats to @ashley-c.bsky.social from TechAtBloomberg on advancing the Composites proposal to Stage 2 at @tc39.es today ๐ŸŽ‰ Composites are objects that are compared by value instead of identity. They are an evolution of Record & Tuple proposal.

This was an *excellent* episode. The Oxlint folks really know what they're talking about, and it's lovely to hear about how much progress they've made on great fast+unified tooling. ๐Ÿ‘ @overlookmotel.bsky.social @voidzero.dev & co.!

I finally got around to making a shared lib for "is this a valid React (component|hook) name?" utilities: github.com/JoshuaKGoldb... This gets reimplemented a lot in dev tooling code, like linter plugins that operate on React things. Hopefully this should save some folks some time! ๐Ÿ“›

This was a *THRILLING* interview. Cory has so much to say on AI, workers rights, software freedom, and so on. It's refreshing to hear nuanced, realistic views beyond "ai good" and "ai bad". Give it a listen!

Maintainers spend countless hours keeping the open source projects we all rely on secure. Too often, that work is unpaid. Socket is proud to join @openjsf.org's new Security Stewardship Program to help fund the researchers and maintainers protecting Node.js. socket.dev/blog/openjs-...

If youโ€™re not stalking TypeScript PRs, you might be surprised how much you can do with the API in nightlies (and even in 7.0 stable), so hereโ€™s a tiny demo that I think hits some of the highlights. ๐Ÿงต

๐Ÿ“ข I've decided to remove the `experimental_prefetchInRender` flag and the associated `promise` returned from `useQuery`. There are too many "gotchas" with this approach. This currently puts use(promise) off the table, sorry. We'll have to think some more how to make this possible...
