The NBA has reached deals with Kalshi and Polymarket to make them the league's preferred prediction markets partners. The companies can now use NBA IP on their platforms, while the NBA gets right of approval on markets that they offer. That and more: www.nytimes.com/athletic/772...

YOU CAN SEE EVERYTHING is just a stunning movie. The best of the year. So much to say about it, so probably best to say nothing. Incredible to release the best movie and tv show in a two year period. There must be some kind of EGOT acronym for that.

If Trump succeeds in overthrowing our democracy, what will people in mainstream media say about their role in it? You’d want them to be able to say: “We did our best to warn the public.” But so far, all they could say would be: “We bent over backwards to be fair to the fascists.”

In any other admin, this would probably be the most outrageous official statement ever made by a sitting FCC director: Strongly implying that the government forbids broadcast networks from reporting on the president's falling poll numbers. (Sorry to paste from twitter but that's where he posts.)

Here we have state media (CBS, now under the direction of op-ed writer Bari Weiss and her patrons, Trump mega donors the Ellisons) reprinting the lie that Trump “created” a women’s health division at NIH that has existed since the 1990s.

It’s really remarkable to me that 10 years into this people feel compelled to “clarify” Trump’s homicidal and often genocidal fantasies. It is deranged for the president to daydream about American cities in states he hates getting blown up. Full stop.

Here’s another “Trump Says …” headline in the New York Times. Headlines like this translate to: “World’s Biggest Liar Says Something.” Not exactly news.

It's crazy to me that this is not leading the New York Times, NBC News, CNN, etc. If you're that numb, maybe think about a field other than journalism.

Is it a big deal that the U.S. president is telling insane lies that he personally rushed to the site of 9/11 and heroically acted like a first responder himself? Sorta seems like it should be! Maybe?

I highly recommend listening to all of @pablo.show's episodes on Kawhi & the Clippers, from the start. Fascinating & compelling, with drama, tension, humor & insider insight added by Amin Elhassan & David Samson. A "podcast episode" didn't cause all this, a tremendously well put-together series did.

Every major news outlet was scooped on the biggest sports story in the US this year by a podcaster, not because they don’t have the resources but because they all primarily do access journalism and boosterism instead of actual reporting.

Name and shame! That was written by Philip Wegmann and Meridith McGraw of the Wall Street Journal, formerly of Real Clear Politics and Politico, respectively. And the whole article is a credulous sycophantic piece of crap. Trump’s “legacy” will be cruelty, stupidity, insanity, and war.

I think it's bad that the Democrats' House leader is having secret chummy meetings with a guy doing a domestic ethnic cleansing operation and funding a genocide abroad, then spending his entire week going on cable news to complain about a lefty Twitch streamer who nobody knows. Sorry for offending.

Major media aren't reporting that Trump is out of his mind, though he obviously is. (See Strait of Hormuz as "U.S. territory," Canada as "51st state," AI slop showing Trump as Jesus, etc.) Either they think Trump’s broken brain is so obvious it’s not news, or they think insanity is "normal" now.

The cult's weird insistence that Donald Trump is a skilled negotiator who makes great deals is beyond comical at this point. Leave aside his long litany of business failures -- he's been getting his ass handed to him in trade deals and a massive war for more than a year.
