Even if it was sentient (it's not) should we have a discussion on the disgusting ethics to want to own a sentient being to act as your car?

No you see they have to set the precedent of public executions now so when Nuremberg 2 hits we can all have watch parties.

I'm sorry, but as a trans person who has to somehow convince myself to vote for Amy Acton, this is a million times better than her response. Like, its texas. This is fine. I also oppose trans athletes playing in girl's sports if it endangers safety or fairness. the trick of the tongue is it doesnt

Talarico: "I oppose trans athletes playing in girls' sports if it endangers safety or fairness"

Every day it's just the most hideously evil shit. How long are we going to keep tolerating the sadism?

Anyway, I would say its been fun, but its actually been low-mid grade torture continously for 37 years. Props to the people that can handle it better, but I cant.

Every dumb man who is "declaring" for the wnba as some kind of stupid anti-trans gotcha/grift should be forced to take hrt for at least 2 years. I bet you they would understand then.

People don't understand. It's actually super cool to break the "laws" of english just cause you wanna. Kill you're inner cop. Don't let these squares tell you what to do.

Anyone know a better (free) word processor than google docs? I'm tired of this bitch telling me I'm doing writing wrong. As if I don't know the tense of the story that I'm writing.

Honestly? Choosing this moment to go after Fauci is evidence of how incredibly weak they are. Like, does it not seem pathetic to you?

How I feel right now in this society is exactly how I felt the last few weeks as a senior in high school. Its all ending soon and nothing I do at this point matters, so why should I even bother?

Genuinely, what is wrong with people though? You ever wonder? So many people are just so freaking mean, and for what? I will never understand.

Im sorry, but the amount of "eat meat" propaganda coming from the far right should be enough to convince you to at least reduce meat consumption. Especially beef.

At some point were going to have to recognize climate change as not some "aww shucks, I dont think that's real," but as the intentional mass genocide that it is.

I don't know what to call the specific political tendency represented by Ryan Grim, Ken Klippenstein, Matt Stoller, Michael Tracey, Glenn Greenwald, Matt Taibbi, and Zaid Jilani, mostly because words sort of fail, but it isn't "the Left."

As a leftist who has been on the side of many other leftists who have not supported graham platner since it came out he used homophobic slurs (which was before all the other stuff) watching centrist blame the entire left for him really convinces me he was always a plant for this exact purpose.

I know this is not the biggest concern going these days, but it stresses me out that basically every artist/writer/critic is now expected to create their own tiny empire instead of getting paid by any existing entity to perform a job they've worked to get good at!!!!

Lately, it's struck me that political parties in the United States are, in essence, companies whose product is candidates for office. And in the case of the major parties, the customers are donors, not voters.

On the other hand, when Jennicet Gutiérrez asked Obama to end the abuse of trans women in ICE detention and stop all deportations, while at a White House Pride event in 2015, Obama mocked her to her face and she was thrown out and briefly detained.

Obama shouts out "those ordinary people in the Twin Cities who braved frigid temperatures, risked their own safety, standing shoulder to shoulder to look our for their neighbors and sometimes for strangers because they knew that was the right thing to do"

The liberal's inability to see past the guilded tongues of their leaders and witness evils of their actions is why we cannot advance as a society. Who hired Tom Homan? Who started the policy of separating children from parents? Who earned the nickname "deporter in chief?" Words have no real value.

You ever notice that we live in a world with a thousand super villains, but not one god damn super hero? Whatever happened to balance. Im totally willing, if my super powers ever come in.

I’m going to keep banging this drum about supporting artists until y’all start listening - if you hate ai so much, support real art by sharing it when you see it. Support your friends projects by buying. We complain so much about apps not being friendly for art but then no one platforms anyone 🤷‍♀️

The false reality they're trying to launder is insane. Never in my life has a tank cost me more and they're pretending everything is hunkydory

Scott: "The fact of the matter is that all of the cylinders are kicking. It is good news. You can even feel in our environment how good things are getting. Gas prices continue to come down, which means your groceries will come down a little bit as well. We've got a lot of good signs in the economy."

One thing you will never think after reading a great book or listening to a great album or seeing a great piece of art is, “I’m really glad this person remained cautious while they were making this and guarded against being perceived as weird.”

In the same manifesto, Palantir's owners argued that we need a national military draft, that soft power is over, and that we were too hard on Germany and Japan after World War II. I don't think that company should be allowed to exist anymore.
