Last night we rallied outside the Schneps Media Queens Powerlist event to let attendees how unfairly management has been treating their employees. We continue to ask Josh & Vicki Schneps to drop their bogus challenges to our colleagues' eligibility. Union busting is disgusting! #SchnepsUnion

The NewsGuild-CWA holds power to account. If a boss breaks the law, we will prosecute them all the way to the Supreme Court.

Nine years ago we told the Blocks they were going down a bad path. Today they hit the end of the road as the Supreme Court joined a very long list of people who also told them so. Humble appreciation to everyone who worked to hold the Blocks accountable. That family owes us a LOT of money.

Fantastic news!!! The Supreme Court declined to hear the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette’s appeal of a ruling requiring the company to pay back its workers for the cuts to pay, illegally implemented increases in health care costs & more. When we fight, we win!!! ✊✊✊

We returned to the bargaining table today after a months-long break, eager to finally hear management's first proposal. We've presented 25 proposals without a single response. Today we got theirs, and it was worse than we expected. 🧵(1)

BREAKING: The Idaho Statesman’s hedge fund owner now admits it chose to gut its newspapers to reinvest resources elsewhere, contradicting earlier claims about financial struggles. Tell McClatchy executives you won’t stand for this devastating choice for our community. Here's what to know:

We know your community — because it's ours too. Because of a decision made by corporate executives, there will soon be no one to tell you what's going on with education, transportation & so much more. And our journalists will soon be out of work. Here's how you can help them:

Donate to support laid-off workers. A hedge fund gutted our newsroom last week, laying off more than half of the union staff that brought you important local news. Help these workers get back on their feet by contributing to and/or sharing our GoFundMe. Anything helps.

I’m part of this corporate blood bath. After dodging layoffs for my entire 19-year career, I finally caught a stray as the Idaho Statesman gutted 60% of its staff. My last day will be Oct. 11. I’m not sure what comes next. Thankfully, I’m part of a union and will receive 6 months of severance.
