For any new followers or visitors, hiya! I'm James and I'm a Japanese-American voice actor living in Chicago. I've voiced in a variety of video games, audiobooks, and animation, all of which you can see in my visual reel. For any interested producers, you can visit jtvoiceover.com for more info.

Seriously, look at this stacked cast! I can't believe I get to count my name alongside this talent. And what's more is it features music composed for the show by THE Nobuo Uematsu 🀯! #voiceacting

My heart is heavy. Walter Koenig, our Ensign Pavel Chekov, passed away early today. Walter and I met on the bridge of the Enterprise in the 1960s, and we stayed friends for nearly six decades. When Brad and I married in 2008, Walter stood beside us as our best man.

Me watching You Can See Everything from the front row πŸ˜…. That aside, the movie is incredible and almost feels like Orson Welles' F is For Fake. The second half of this movie GOES PLACES and will take you on a ride that feels like someplace between an illusion and reality.

Seated for You Can See Everything. Shows are selling out here and I could only get a front row seat. Elizabeth Holmes' eyes gonna look crazy from down here πŸ‘€.

Good day for a double feature, and WOW! People are showing up for You Can See Everything. All morning showings at my theater are sold out and the next available one is a front row seat in the afternoon. Time to get some Wildwood in the meantime....not like that πŸ˜….

I JUST left the theater seeing this movie. It does NOT pull punches but is a magnificent movie that I can see being challenging for children in all the right ways. I am so grateful for studio Laika for keeping the artistic dream and vision alive. The 'handmade in Oregon' at the end was a nice touch.

What's scarier than gender dysphoria and the beyond for the Halloween season? OoooOOOoooo 😨. But seriously, the book Aftertaste is on sale through the rest of the month and it's one of, if not, the best book I've read all year. Go and support some indie lit/art from an awesome author's debut.

Wow! RIP to a wonderfully twisted mind in horror/thriller. I love the book In The Miso Soup and would love to maybe do an audiobook of it one day. Maybe I'll record a sample for fun πŸ€”.

We are sad to learn that Japanese writer RyΕ« Murakami has passed away at 74 years old. Murakami wrote the 1997 novel AUDITION which was adapted into Takashi Miike's horror masterpiece. He also wrote the novels Almost Transparent Blue and Coin Locker Babies. Rest in Peace.

Guy is running for Congress in Iowa and clearly hasn't seen Straight Story, probably the best movie filmed in Iowa and features the largest annual bike tour event in the world, the RAGBRAI πŸ˜‚. Also, ask me on the right day and it might be David Lynch's best movie.

Give me four versions of you. Got my first haircut in over 6 years today so let's add that to the bunch.

PJ Harvey Dent@bsakat.bsky.social

Gimme 4 versions of you. Since I'm all hopped up on meds, you get 8 versions.

It's been over 6 years since I got a haircut pre-pandemic. Wound up growing it out so I could donate it. So I finally gave myself a good chop of nearly 2 feet off. Many thanks to Hunter and those at Little Broken Things for holding my hand through this and teaching me to take better care of my hair.

Seriously, I haven't stopped thinking about the movie since seeing it last week. It's wild and can rub people the wrong way but as someone put it, it's a movie made and banned in 1971, takes place in the 1600s, and is unfortunately very relevant in 2026.
