So when I read Mr. Handmer's blogpost it lit a fucking fire under my ass because it was describing the architecture of an inevitable energy empire. Unfirmed LCOE is not a liability if you're dumping that raw cheap-as-shit power into *making* your own energy storage!

i'm currently living in a place that was found for rent by GPT-5.6 Sol after I told it "has to be x travel distance from this workplace and these budget/pet requirements" and it scoured multiple sites automagically and flagged this one as best ranked according to my criteria

Read Larry Niven's Ringworld when I was a kid. Always wanted to see it for myself, what it would really look like to stand on it and look at the horizon. Had to settle for fairly crappy CG renderings. Alph made this raytraced rendering for me in about 10 minutes.

I just discovered that someone else packaged up _my_ extremely work-in-progress VR mod for Just Cause 3 without notifying me (but they did credit me!) and people have been playing it and enjoying it, and I feel extremely weird about this
