My little friends have arrived! Here's CLAYFACE: CELEBRITY DIRT #4, featuring reveals, reunions, and the small but crucial distinction between Batman and Santa. Beautiful covers on this one.

It's PUB DAY for the trade paperback of DEAD TEENAGERS, the extremely goofy time-loop-slash-horror-slash-Jennifer-Garner's-"13 Going on 30" comic I did with @caitlinyarsky.bsky.social, which I love very much. It's backordered at Bookshop . org, but you can get it here: www.amazon.com/dp/B0GSDSQGH...

I got in slight trouble for yelling at this dude, but seriously, is there a single point he's ever made that isn't just him publicly sneering at a trans person, usually a trans woman, for being Too Angry

You can stump for Gavin Newsom and complain about unreasonable Trans Rights Activists all day long, it's your life, but at least take the FUCKING RAINBOW FLAG out of your user name while you do it, you massive douche

“I didn’t intend to tell you any of this, when I started this story—I wanted to tell you about a song, and the boy I sent it to. But…pulling one thread of the song sent the whole world tumbling out.” My favorite Jude Doyle essays are the ones where he pulls some thread and a whole world spills out.

Long post, no paywall: I wrote about meeting the love of my life during the worst time of my life, and the song I sent him to say I liked him: jude-doyle.ghost.io/e-bow-the-le...

I'm in here! I got to do a Poison Ivy story about ritualistic Druid sacrifice with none other than LISA STERLE and it's exactly as pretty as you're thinking

...all the animosity hurled towards trans ppl the last few days is completely misplaced. this is a *cisgender problem*: cis ppl need to decide whether you want us to be part of the anti-MAGA coalition or not. if you do, then call out the Dems pushing us out... juliaserano.medium.com/on-democrats...

Here’s the thing: Did this change because people sat quietly at home and reassured each other things would change? Or did they change because queer people tirelessly, relentlessly made a ruckus until supporting us became the safer option? History gives exactly one answer to this question.

I’m a queer who had to fight for my rights to work, get married, serve in the military if I wished. Dems were some of my worst opponents. They changed. Today, we have a party that wants to kill us queers in camps, and a party opposing them. In g-d Kansas, I’d prefer Hamilton over a Nazi.

Plenty of people always have and always will see me as a shitlib. I mostly just believe in getting as far left as you can through electoralism. I do believe that this country mainly chooses leaders from the center (or far right) and that the best hope is to push the culture leftward over time.

I think there is a big, measurable difference between that philosophy and the idea I see people pushing now, which is that the long arc of history bends toward justice *on its own* and that protest is disloyal and unnecessary. Protest has always been the only direct, effective influence we have.

I will of course be glad to give HORROR AMATEUR MIKE FLANAGAN tips on how to approximate the greatness of my comic, in the hopes that one day, if he tries very hard, he can be as successful as Jude "Big Bucks" Doyle

Going to see Clayface the Movie @mikeflanaganfilm.com @dccomics2023.bsky.social @judedoyle.bsky.social hope it as good as Celebrity Dirt! This is one of the best comic books this year. So, needless to say @judedoyle.bsky.social has set the bar high!

I'm going to point out that Jesse Singal has a very public track record of being intensely, specifically cruel to individuals, specifically the trans people who criticize him, whom he has hounded to their workplaces, harassed online, and (at times) successfully gotten fired from their jobs

Toby Buckle@polphilpod.bsky.social

every now & then someone on the anti-trans side will get cold feet about how openly ugly it's all getting—they want to keep the image of a nice, sensible centrist but it's never enough for them to get off the train

Bacchus is going to be so mad when they shut down the revival of his cult one member in

Trump doesn't have a lot of core beliefs but "don't believe rape victims" has been his top one for a loooong time now and we all, to a person, know why.

His character's backstory in ALIEN is that he was assigned female and underwent transition at some point before becoming captain, so he provided Trans Masc Rep that never announced itself as such because it was busy screaming and running away from aliens and being eaten. As it should be.

NEW YORK (AP) — Tom Skerritt, a durable character actor with roles in 'Picket Fences,' 'Alien' and 'Top Gun,' dies.

"The energy it takes to repress a thing is what ultimately makes that thing visible" is like the only Foucault I learned from my fancy gay communist New York liberal arts school, maybe these guys should have gone to one so they'd know how it works
