Interviewer: Can you explain this gap in your resume? Robert Frost: Of course. Two roads diverged in a yellow wood, & sorry I could not travel both & be one traveler, long I stood & looked down one as far as I could to where it bent in the undergrowth…

It's a lot harder to fundraise during the midterms, so we're not even halfway to our goal. If you have a few bucks to spare, please consider donating to the Fated States Project. fatedmates.net/givingcircle

You guys, which romance novel has mentions of the intricately made glass flowers, plants & animals in Harvard's collection? I feel really certain these were mentioned in a book I recently read but can't remember which. (Some photos at the link.) #Romancelandia

Hey friends, if you have any books in the Anthropic settlement, please go read @courtneymilan.com & @victoriastrauss.com's timelines! There are some publisher hijinks afoot including multiple publishers "accidentally" claiming 100% of a book's settlement, or claiming 50% on reverted titles.

Incredible. We built a machine that can move faster than a human. Truly a watershed moment in our development as a species. This is a post about the invention of the bicycle in 1817. Also here’s a stupid robot running fast and falling down.
A Chinese humanoid robot outran Usain Bolt’s 100-meter sprint world record on the opening day of the World Humanoid Robot Games in Beijing, posting a time of 9.39 seconds — 0.19 faster than Bolt’s pace in 2009.

Oh hey I edited Simone Stark's Written on His Skin - featuring a delightful little tattoo situation + an epistolary romance and a curvy heroine!
We’re talking tattoos and body art this week! You might not have a tattoo, but odds are you’ve read a few thousand of them, as romance novels love a main character with a message…right on their skin.

Writers, you should be following @victoriastrauss.com -- for years she's been tracking/alerting us to publishing scams.

Born between 1963-67? You prob need a measles booster! (When the vax was new, we got 1 dose.) Born before 63: had measles before there was a vax or got immunity from being around measles. Born after 67: got 2 vax doses. 63-67: were protected by herd immunity. No longer. Talk to your doc, pls!
Watching episode of ER from 2001. Dr. Chen & Dr. Carter are trying to diagnose an unconscious preschooler. Carter: “Could be measles.” Chen: “Measles? Have you ever seen measles?” Carter: “No, have you?” Chen: “Of course not, nobody’s seen measles.” So far backwards in such a short time.
Hey, Romancelandia, I have an unexpected gap in my calendar…so if you've been thinking about reaching out to me re: editing your manuscript, please do! I'm a gentle, supportive collaborator, and a goddamn delight to work with, if I do say so myself. More info about me here: JuliaEdits.com
I'm posting this again for the morning people: Romancelandia authors/writers/etc., you do not have to use Substack, and in fact you should absolutely leave Substack. This platform monetizes white supremacists, so why do you want to hang out with a bunch of Nazis?
That's 100% why I created leavesubstack.com -- got tired of re-hashing the points; wanted to make a simple 1-pager.
Romancelandia, if you've ever enjoyed Bookstore Romance Day, please drop a buck or two to help its founder:
Ever since I read @weyodi.bsky.social's poem, I have been a huge fan.
In 2018 I won the Imagining Indigenous Futurism prize for my short story "Red Lessons". I ended up turning the short story into a three book series. Book One; The Root and The Seed and The Thief In Between is now is available in ebook format from Android Press. www.android-press.com/product-page...
