DoorDash spent $1.4M trying to stop Zohran Mamdani from becoming mayor. This week's historic $131.5M enforcement action against DoorDash for underpaying NYC delivery workers shows why. Yet another reminder that the only thing that can beat organized money is organized people.

was talking about this recently with an ex-congressman (an old timer from the 80s and 90s) and one of the remarkable things about this cycle is that trump has given his party absolutely nothing to run on. no bill to tout, no accomplishment to hype, no nothing.

But the company would access all those recordings and data mine them for anything they could sell. No, they don’t tell people that. Yes, everyone does know it. No, there’s nothing you can do about it.

The summers-long search for clarity at left tackle did not end last night. The Bears did have some encouraging performances in Cincinnati, but not at the position most under the microscope. Risers and fallers (free to read)

nytimes.comBears still seeking answers at left tackle after sloppy game: Risers and fallers (Gift Article)Coach Ben Johnson wasn't pleased immediately after a preseason loss to the Bengals, as the team struggled with penalties.

While the thrust of the stories are ostensibly about remembering his courage and sacrifice, they seems to use his memory as as a token or pawn. I find it dehumanizing. Say his name!

If you show up to Bluesky without following anyone, you'll be treated to a series of posts about art, music, and dogs. If you show up to X without following anyone, you'll be bombarded with right-wing conspiracies and white supremacist slop. It's weird which one is seen as a "political bubble"
