From Lula’s victory speech. Hard to argue. 🇧🇷 “We had to overcome foreign interference through digital platforms, which we will have to regulate. We cannot have monstrously large corporations earning millions and billions, paying no taxes to this country and trying to steer our election results.”

www.cbc.ca/news/canada/... DS: [Separatists] weren’t the ones who were supporting me. [They] were the ones who were really concerned about the COVID response… who were concerned about some of the DEI ideology that was in classrooms… who were concerned about young children being transgendered… 🤦

cbc.caQ&A: Premier Danielle Smith says she doesn’t need Alberta separatists’ support | CBC NewsAlberta Premier Danielle Smith says she has told members of her party to back the province’s referendum results, or leave. In an interview with CBC’s West of Centre, she says she doesn’t need separati...

Treaty 6 was signed in 1876. Treaty 7 was signed in 1877. Treaty 8 was signed in 1899. Alberta joined confederation in 1905. This was treaty land before Alberta existed. This is still treaty land.

Alberta is restricting when the Treaty 6 and Métis Nation flags are flown at schools to the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. Pride flags will NEVER be allowed to fly. But you can fly the Vatican City flag. www.ctvnews.ca/edmonton/art...

Albertans were asked to guess how much of our healthcare budget goes to non-permanent residents. The guesses? 15% to 50%. The reality? Just 1%. The budget strain isn't coming from immigrants. It's coming from UCP government choices. Vote NO on October 19 #ableg #canpoli #abpoli

Thanks UCP…

This is a good day to ponder what an amazing deal B.C. residents have enjoyed thanks to public auto insurance. Avg nominal premiums are no higher than 9 years ago when J.Horgan was elected Premier, vs 45% avg increase in Canada and 119% in next-door Alberta. Data from StatsCan. #bcpoli

Why do you want to stay in Canada? « I have family and friends across Canada, including multiple children and young women that would have been directly harmed by the referendum proposals. I love cheering for team Canada at sports. I think of the jays and raptors as my teams…

Canadian health care has saved my life multiple times. I have family and friends that served, and some died, proudly in Canada’s military. I believe in the treaties and our duty to uphold them it older than Alberta. » Vote no to the nine. Stay in Canada.

Danielle Smith plans to attack the free market for not producing enough methane gas. Amazing.

According to a leaked document, the government of Alberta is considering a massive overhaul of natural gas pipelines in the province, and billions in spending, to help drive an AI data centre boom. #abpoli #cdnpoli thenarwhal.ca/alberta-ai-d...

Sent my ballot in today. Got a little emotional thinking about all the wonderful immigrants in my family and other networks who would have been harmed if these racist proposals were policy and proudly voted #no2the9 and #StayInCanada

The conspicuous overlap between record-breaking warmth, dryness, and/or low snowpack and these fires is simply not a coincidence. The scientific evidence linking increasingly extreme fire weather, as well as increasingly extreme wildfires themselves, to climate warming is clear.

In recent weeks, there has been a remarkable surge in large, intense, fast-moving, and unfortunately in many cases destructive/deadly wildfires in multiple Northern Hemisphere regions spanning a wide range of climates & ecologies, but they all share one key commonality. [Thread]
