Russia is very likely to use the ceasefire and press tour in Oleshky for propaganda❗️ They will try to shift the blame for the humanitarian crisis onto Ukraine, whitewash their war crimes, and leverage NewsMax's presence to legitimize their narrative on the international stage.

Have you ever looked at a tormented city and wondered how much devastation it takes to kill it? How much more can it endure? Where is the line after which survivors, if any remain, can no longer rebuild? We watch russia raze our cities one by one.

At first, a city bravely resists, no one wants to surrender their home, the life they worked to build. Then, staying becomes deadly. Fewer and fewer remain, mostly the elderly, who know they lack the strength to start over. They wander the streets occasionally,

and occasionally russians post videos hunting them down with drones... Before long, buildings become ruins as the front line moves in. No one fights the fires anymore. What were once high-rise apartments and offices are now just scattered rubble, reeking of smoke and death.

It is the same story every time for the cities where the "russian world" could not be stopped, the same kind of pain, the same desolation. We watch those cities die. We watch them grow emptier, ever more lethal. With every strike russia delivers, we think this must be the final blow.

Yet the city clings to life a little while, until it doesn't, until it can no longer. Those cities, those cold corpses of concrete giants, lie scattered across the east. They now form a desert visible from space.

They lie there, the hollow windows of shattered homes staring up at the sky like empty eye sockets. Perhaps they would ask "why" if they could, but there is no one left to answer.

There was a fucking hole in our planet’s *atmosphere* Like a legit, no joke, “this will unravel our entire ecosystem” hole in the world, and then we fixed it by working together across national and political lines As a species we decided, “we will survive” Let’s do that some more

Same bullshit excuse Elon used in 2022 and 2023 when he said he throttled Starlink because he didn’t believe his products should be used for war. So he built Starshield, which is Starlink for war.

Ambassador Whitaker on Starlink: "They are a private company. Obviously they have terms of use that are applied to all of their customers, including the Ukrainians. I think it is more of a dispute along those lines than anybody in this admin trying to change how Starshield or Starlink is used."

Does this justify genocide?

The latest incident of “settler violence”: antizionist media claimed that settlers lit fire to cars in a Palestinian town. Documentation by an Israeli drone instead showed that a group of Arabs attempted to light a fire to block a road to an outpost, the fire spiraled out of control and spread.

Definitely a genocide

The inconvenient truth is that the accusation came so early on and was repeated like a drum beat. The war that Hamas dragged Gaza into is horrible. War is not genocide. This war is not genocide.

My name is not the reason we're paying $5/gallon for gas. My name is not the reason you can't afford your groceries. My name is not the reason you can't afford your mortgage or rent. My name is not the reason you can't see a doctor. Their policies are the reason.

Look at the shabby state and increasingly authoritarian trajectory of the country and ask yourself if we can endure 2 more years of a lawless Trump administration wreaking havoc with no check from Congress, then vote accordingly. This is not the time for a protest vote or purity politics.

Rep. Delia C. Ramirez has introduced a bill that would abolish not just ICE, but the DHS altogether, repealing the 2002 law establishing the agency and replacing it with one focused on protecting civil and human rights.

The administration keeps telling us that ICE is in our cities to make us all feel safe, but if they're goons in plainclothes bum rushing vehicles with guns and pounding on the windows, how exactly does that make anyone feel safe?

Aaron Reichlin-Melnick@reichlinmelnick.bsky.social

The NYPD just released surveillance video of the ICE shooting (which occurred off camera). Two men in civilian clothes run up to a car with guns drawn. One second later, one man begins smashing the butt of his gun into the driver’s side window. The driver appears to panic and hit the gas.

I GENUINELY don't understand the obsession w/Starbucks products. It's rubbish. The coffee is too acidic and over roasted. You can barely discern any flavor. The consumables are barely food. Everything is overpriced. Why stay loyal to low quality product? Shop small businesses ☕️
