Finished up the acheivements for Control Resonant tonight. Just needed to find some cameras and finish off a few artifacts. GOTY, I’d say. I really loved it.

I really hope that the third game has us playing as Dylan, saving Jesse by end of act 1, and then playing as both characters for the remainder of of the game. The service weapon and aberrant available in different areas. Anyway I need to replay Alan Wake 2.

Replying to @aurahack.ca

the back third of the game is just the coolest shit you've seen immediately outdone by something cooler. it does an extended sequence i won't spoil but is the kind of thing any other studio would have shot down as being unserious or cringe. i really, really loved it.

Saros was sooo fun. For sure one of my favorite games this year with one or two trophies that I found annoying, the game and its story loop were awesome. “Come back stronger” is right.

If you watch the Obama Library, the World Cup, and the Knicks parade this afternoon -- and nothing else -- you can actually see the America we're supposed to be at age 250

We made a pretty good coming of age story game but most players won’t even give it a chance because it’s got too much color. We’re not all that different in love, relationships, and generational issues. I promise you can relate to these characters. store.steampowered.com/app/1617220/...

Watch me get the name wrong but Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Rescue Team DX was an odd offshoot that had some cute parts to it. I can see how back on GBA these games would have been awesome.

Went to the backlog and was surprised to find myself enjoying Alan Wake’s American Nightmare. While the main story is short, I can see how that would have been an on ramp to Remedy games.

I still remain astonished that Blockbuster, known for price gouging, ridiculous late fees, ambitions of a monopoly and censorship of films, has become a nostalgia beacon. For the kids, it would be like everyone suddenly sighing about the warm summer days at Walmart.

While the US government runs a shock and awe campaign on its own citizens, it’s falling behind other countries in tech. China’s battery and factory outreach is part of a larger strategy, I’m sure.

China’s lithium batteries aren’t always “made in China.” Companies like BYD and CATL are building factories on nearly every continent. www.wired.com/story/chines...

I picked up the survivor trilogy during the Steam winter sale. Just wrapped up Tomb Raider (2013). I enjoyed it well enough, but thought it weird to add so many characters to be canon fodder or characters we were supposed to care about (didn’t). Overall story worked as an origin tho.

BallxPit was addictive. The loop from the missions to the simple goals when building out the hideout was excellent. Really enjoyed this one and ended up finishing up the achievements.
