$100k worth of ads for Kellie Torres just dropped from Unity PAC, which itself is funded by United for Portland Action Fund, Keep Portland Safe PAC, and other sources which you can find out more about at whosbuyingpdx.com/vendors.html. This is not a grassroots campaign.

Huge follow-up reporting to my scoop: The Guardian confirmed America Next—the conservative nonprofit founded by Bobby Jindal that was offering students $ to disrupt El-Sayed events—paid a firm registered to Tommy Teepell’s dad Timmy $250k for “canvassing and influencer marketing” against El-Sayed.
When people say "why do they say 'death to America?'" I say, "why do you say death to cyclists"? My mom mostly
Republican candidate Brandon Herrera: “I fucking hate cyclists. Jesus fucking Christ! ….I had fucking fantasies of running them all over and, you know, maybe one of these days I will. …I have thought about ways that I could get away with it.”
People should ask Josh Hawley if he vows not to engrain his religion into US laws. Does he vow himself to the constitution or not?
SCOOP: 'Tommy' from the now-viral exchange with Abdul El-Sayed is Thomas Teepell, a former staffer for Republican Senator Josh Hawley with close ties to Christian Nationalist Sean Feucht. He's the son of a former Bobby Jindal staffer whose consultant work was instrumental in getting Hawley elected.
Been doing this stuff for years
I look at it like I look at SFX in the 90s. Cool, but totally impractical

banging my drum on this again: the path to abolishing ICE runs through raising the salience on WHY they won't identify and unmask, and using that as a wedge issue as much as possible. they are federal employees. take the cum sock off your ugly fucking face, boy

i think that having specific demands like "prosecute the companies" and "fund human made art" makes more sense than being anti-"AI" tbh. the tech isn't going to go away, we are well past the point where that was possible, if it ever was (& if it ever was desirable)
I'm increasingly frustrated that people who are anti-AI aren't being taken seriously, and taking a page out of my thoughts on why the anti-trans backlash got as far as it did I'm starting to think the anti-AI side isn't extreme enough.
