This is absolutely horrible! A nonverbal student with special needs was walking to Santa Maria High School when ICE agents tackled him, restrained him, and left him with a broken wrist requiring surgery, according to witnesses and school officials.

After being released, the injured student made his way to school, where staff called an ambulance. School officials reported cuts, bruises, and a wrist injury requiring surgery. ICE claims he resisted and “never requested medical assistance.” He was described as NONVERBAL.

A student walking to school ended up needing surgery after agents stopped the wrong person. This demands an independent investigation and accountability.
