CHH is correct, but I want to make the context explicit. These are people who were always first in line to condemn gay people. The reason they have to volunteer en masse now that actually it’s totally normal to be attracted to 16-year olds is because their guy here was bonking them

Trump's Truth Social account just posted this video, showing an animated figure in a Guy Fawkes mask calling for the prosecution of members of Congress. It's clearly meant to invoke imagery from the Anonymous hacker group, which anyone can do and hasn't actually meant anything for about a decade.

🔥 BREAKING: A spokesperson for Kids Can Press, the publisher of the Franklin the Turtle books, messaged me today about Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth using the likeness and image from the books to make light of killings in the Caribbean in his post yesterday on X.

Government actors who refuse to be bound by the rule of law are not morally entitled to its protection.

I don’t even really think this is the problem. The Constitution prohibits basically every terrible thing Trump has done. The problem is that our institutions have decided to ignore the Constitution. Can’t fix that by changing what it says.

This regime is making the best arguments possible that we need to fix the foundations of our democracy if we want to keep it.

Also, this tweet should be a scandal in its own right! The Secretary of Defense, currently under bipartisan scrutiny for potentially committing cold-blooded murder of shipwrecked men, is cracking public jokes about what he did - essentially spitting in the face of his victims AND Congress.

This is a Bill Simmons game, but you’re stranded on a desert island. You can only have one actor’s filmography. You get it all, including cameos. But just the one performer. I’m taking Cate Blanchett: Talented Mr. Ripley, LOTR, Life Aquatic, Black Bag, Tár, Ponyo, Hot Fuzz, Eyes Wide Shut, Thor

When you've lost Andrew McCarthy... (McCarthy has been a critic of the whole campaign, and correctly holds that none of this is warfare in a legal sense to begin with, but here also correctly holds that even if it *is* warfare, the actions described are illegal.)

Imagine being so far gone into Trumpism/Republicanism that you would say this to someone who was shot in the head in an act of political violence.

The reason I want to see Secretary Hegseth and Admiral Bradley charged with murder, based on what we know, isn't because I hate the US military. It's because I served in the US military and respect it, and want to see its honor restored.

The crisis isn’t refugees. It’s not that one person committed one tragic crime and killed one other person. The crisis isn’t that America’s 250-year old history of hosting immigrants turned out to be a mistake. The crisis is that STEPHEN MILLER, a hateful little maggot, controls the government.

The key phrasiology here is "criminally responsible"

The number of people angry at me On Here who cannot, when asked, even explain *why* they are angry at me beyond "someone said to be" shouldn't be surprising, and yet somehow still is. I feel like if you're gonna be mad at someone, the minimum requirement is knowing why.

Charlie Kirk was not my friend and you probably shouldn't get too broke up about the feelings of anyone who'd claim him as one. I'd say this is a "lie down with dogs get up with fleas" situation, but MTG is the dog that gives other dogs a bad name.

My personal position is that AI is great, for unserious stuff. I've even paid a small amount to use it for unserious stuff, specifically gaming, art generation, and annual employee self assesment reviews. That said, I'd never personally use it for anything serious or critical.

i think tech and ai positive people are going to be in for a big shock when anti tech and anti ai sentiment becomes a major part of leftwing politics going forward especially as datacenters continue to destroy communities and raise electricity bills

I don't see much of a difference between the three words (and a few others) but there are folks I know irl who would be comfortable hearing and saying "moron" or "idiot" who would be offended in the extreme at "the r-word" and to me its kind of fascinating and maybe even a bit hypocritical.
