What a fun start to today. Essayist is App of the Day in the US! Now back to finishing Essayist and Researchist for iPhone Duo. #AcademicWriting #AcademicReading

Essayist was mentioned in Apple’s Newsroom article about Foundation Models for its ability to create references from PDFs, alongside so many fantastic apps. We’re very happy with this feature, which serves as a foundation for much more to come. www.apple.com/newsroom/202...

Danny Behar@dbehar.com

Still no icon showing up for Tutti on the iPadOS 26 App Store. Hurts to spend months working on a release and then have this happen. If you work for Apple and/or have any idea how to resolve, I'd appreciate the help <3

Finalist 3 is out after nine months of coding 😅 It's a daily planner that manages your calendars and reminders better than your Reminders app. I'm running a crazy launch special: get a lifetime license for $5 (five!) dollars

Thank you Apple for a fantastic WWDC! And thank you so much for showcasing Essayist in a STATE OF THE UNION slide!! 🤯🤯🤯 It was an incredible experience and so inspiring! We made new friends and met old ones, got to exchange insights, brainstorm new features and the vegan food options were on point!

Is there any way to replicate the built-in Drag-and-Drop behaviour of List, where I can tap on items to add them to the current Drag after a drag has started (iOS, #SwiftUI)? Related to this: is there any way to get notified about a drag being started?

Semi-regular plea to devs: please have press kits. I’m writing end of year round-ups and it does make things ever so much easier when I can just grab an image and whack it in a feature. (A plain image – not one baked into an iPhone or with lots of writing over it.)

Had a similar approach with the Paper app—in-app settings to adjust every aspect (positions, lighting, shadows), state buttons to test transitions, and a way to send all values off to my team. Only way to dial in so many interdependent values and get things just right. (Paper, 2012)

Gavin Nelson@gavin.social

My favorite way to fine-tune transitions is to build a set of sliders into a prototype to tweak timing parameters on device, as you're using it.
