I genuinely don't think that human civilization is compatible with "100 dudes should own everything, make nothing, but get infinitely increasing money forever"

Here’s your regular reminder to wash your water bottle. Those things get gross fast so go give it a good scrub & stay hydrated!

Does anyone find the EBSCO SmartText feature helpful? I use mostly health sciences databases and it's absolutely terrible, often returning 10s of thousands of irreverent results. Just curious if there's a case where it is helpful. #medlibs #academia #libraries

Sure, let's monitor product safety using a system that is explicitly not designed for information retrieval. Why the actual fuck would anyone do this?

I will be eternally grateful to have been born in a literate culture where literacy was valued and expected and I still had the time, attention, and freedom to develop a literacy practice. Understanding context, inference, vocabulary, perspective, affect — all powerful, useful skills and values.

October is a beautiful time of year in Canada. filmed this video during my 2022 visit to Stratford, Ontario, in October. With dance and music set against Stratford’s vibrant autumn colours, I’m excited to share Canada’s autumn beauty with the world.

No joke. I think this is the most important video I have ever seen about mobile games. This guy breaks down how this game psychologically profiles you, and makes the game harder or easier in order to show you ads

Something AI is responsible for that doesn't get enough talk: How, when it scrapes a website to illegally steal everything on it, it uses up a ton of its bandwidth allotment, crashing it or racking up massive fees for site owners.

Yet again, the Game UI Database is being scraped to the point that it's getting knocked offline. Even Cloudflare's "I'm under attack" mode isn't working. I just wanted to create a resource for real designers. I'm getting so fucking sick of this.
