I almost finished completely rewriting the VM management app we use to be more flexible to install so I can possibly move it over to another billing system soon. Calling it a night and going to relax after a long day of work, meetings, and second work. Very mentally exhausting. πŸ₯±

I'm dying over here. After getting another copy and paste response from the vendor about how the problem is going to fix itself one day I demanded a more detailed answer and somebody suggested I downgrade PHP from 8.4 to 8.3 so I did and it fixed the licensing bug! Then I logged in to see this:

Holy shit today has been awful. My company website has been down for 3 days and the app vendor that I pay tens of thousands of dollars to is basically useless. I'm slowly fixing it myself but if you're going to have a licensing system and it breaks, don't block your clients from doing business. 🀬

My dad and I (co-owners) thought we were going to have to close the company if the main billing/client software we use was down for too long. Clients couldn't pay invoices or access their services. It completely ruined my Saturday. Time to just replace all of it and save a lot of money.

A few thoughts… 1. OnlyFans is valid and LEGAL employment. 2. Sites like OF have extremely stringent age verification. 3. All OF income is taxed, and that is a LOT of taxable income. 4. OF (& similar) provides income, safely, to mostly women.

Migrated most of my bots and a few brand accounts over to the PDS also, completely forgot to update the API URLs and app keys. The process is much faster when you don't post a lot of media. πŸ˜… Starting to add connection tests to all of my bot dashboards. 😁

Legitimately shocked OnlyFans still uses PHP for their website. Not that it’s a bad choice, there are just more efficient options for such a simple* website with so much traffic. *I’m sure it’s simple by design, not throwing shade at the website.

After HOURS of fighting with my servers and overloaded repo mirrors all of my PHP apps are finally safe. During the wait I also converted a handful of them over to Python just because it's probably time to get PHP 5.x off those servers. πŸ˜
