Microsoft is too busy with delivering a useful topological quantum computer by 2029 to worry whether their Majorana qubits actually work. "This notion of having peer reviews and publications doesn't work in this fast-moving world right now. This paper thing is kind of boring now." archive.ph/xGlb7
Zulfi Alam, Microsoft's Quantum VP, says that "this paper thing is kind of boring now". It’s amazing how tedious the scientific method gets when physicists keep debunking your qubit fairy tales. www.wired.com/story/micros...
We're quite excited to have Prof. Martinis coming this Sat at DEF CON... Be there, and get your questions in!
What would you ask a Nobel Laureate in Physics about quantum computing if you had the chance? Well, at Quantum Village @ DEF CON 34 this year, THAT CHANCE IS YOURS! We have the inimitable John Martinis, CTO of Qolab and Nobel Prizewinner in Physics 2025, coming to do the honours!
In the spirit of writing more notes now that I'm attending more public meetings on subjects such as this, here's a nifty note about converting hidden shifts into hidden subgroup problems for quantum cryptanalysis: presheaf.blogspot.com/2026/07/note...

A cybercrime gang took credit for a hack at Klue, allowing them to steal data from a bunch of major cybersecurity companies. You might not have seen Klue CEO's blog post because it included "noindex" code in the HTML, which hides the page from search engine results: web.archive.org/web/20260622...

~25 years ago I crashed on a friend's couch before an interview. his dad, a former pastor, asked me what I was interviewing for, so I said, "Unix Administrator". he got a confused look for a moment, then started laughing, then asked me how I found enough eunuchs to need an administrator 😆

I'd love to see the survivorship stats on this... How many one shot maths conjecture runs came up with utter tosh vs. this one big win?
OpenAI has used a "general purpose reasoning model" to disprove that the square grid type construction is the best solution to the planar unit distance problem. I am sure the "AI is completely useless" crowd will now change their ways, right?

I wrote back in November about how easy it was to find leaked passport photos and driver's licenses online. The spills have only gotten worse in the months that age verification laws rolled out. We're reaching a point (if not already) where our government IDs aren't worth shit in the digital world.

#Quantum + #AI starts here!! We added an MCP server to make the world's first AI native Agent Ready QRNG! Take a look: github.com/QuantumVilla... This endpoint exposes the QRNG status, the health of the generated bits, and if course gives access to the whitened entropy!
Happy World Quantum Day Folks - to celebrate we are releasing our latest open quantum hardware project: The ‘Entropy Loop’ This is a USD $35 open source Quantum Random Number Generator made using off the shelf fiber optics and a raspberry pi pico - in a credit-card sized package!! Link below...
