🚨 FULTON COUNTY, GEORGIA VOTERS! More than 7K voters had their registrations flagged over questions about their residential addresses, & the ACLU is raising serious concerns about errors. Check your voter status NOW. If it says “Challenged,” contact Fulton County Elections.

We can hope that after the midterms there will be a public transparent oversight process that turns this report into a series of high-profile hearings. Much of the public now gets news via video; Congress can use oversight to make compelling video so the country pays attention.

NEW: "Donald Trump was an active participant in Jeffrey Epstein’s sexual abuse of young women during the mid-to-late 1990s," per new House Judiciary Dem report. Report has new allegation that Trump raped a 24-year-old and then promised the victim a visa & NYU admission, demanding she stay quiet.

CBS is predicting only a 15-seat pickup in the House by Dems? I think that's too conservative by a lot. Dems look to pick up 4 seats in each of TX and PA alone.

Christopher Webb@cwebbonline.com

These numbers are telling. CBS News projects Democrats at 229 House seats to Republicans’ 206. Look at what voters are saying: • 65% say the economy is bad. • 57% say Trump’s policies have hurt them financially. • DON’T MISS THIS: 83% say government corruption is a major factor in their vote.

My heart is heavy. Walter Koenig, our Ensign Pavel Chekov, passed away early today. Walter and I met on the bridge of the Enterprise in the 1960s, and we stayed friends for nearly six decades. When Brad and I married in 2008, Walter stood beside us as our best man.

Shocking news. It is apparently mathematically impossible to create an AI agent that will not hallucinate.

JazzComposer@jazzcomposer.bsky.social

Since AI is based upon a model of the past, uses statistics and randomness to create output, creates hallucinations, and outputs objectively incorrect information, why are they surprised that AI is dangerous? AI executives always knew this but hid the danger 🥶 www.computerworld.com/article/4059...

Sounds on-brand for a DOGE AI agent to break in where it's not wanted and attack critical systems. In this case the penetration appears to have been invited, but this bodes ill for other industries. What if Cathedral wanted to attack your online banking? Looks like it could, easily.

Mike has a country yelling at him and his rancid Party, and he's holding his hands over his ears yelling back "Lalallalalalala I don't hear you" with his eyes shut.

Mike Johnson: "When I'm in these big arenas, I ask for hands -- 'Show me your hand if you've answered a poll in the last six months.' There will be like three hands among 300 people. I'm telling you, these polls are off. All of them."

Quite the opposite - companies should be run as countries. They need to benefit the general citizenry even over shareholders. If a corporation cannot benefit the citizenry as well as shareholders, it shouldn't exist.

Prem Sikka@premnsikka.bsky.social

Politicians should look at the UK economy as a CEO would, says Lloyds Bank CEO From a bank that hasn't investigated HBOS frauds. No thank you. Companies enrich shareholders. Countries have entirely different purpose, governance, accountability. Must not be treated as corporations. archive.ph/lj45s

Yes. The US needs a reckoning with Meta, X, Google, etc.

Lula: "We had to overcome foreign interference through digital platforms, which we will have to regulate. A crime in the digital world must be treated the same as a crime in the real world. We cannot have monstrous companies earning millions... not paying taxes... wanting to steer elections."

I'm in a place where I've seen a lot of 3-year-olds play soccer, of all races, and honestly, most of them just run to where the ball is. There's no strategy and they don't keep score. The Black kid in this video skill-wise is head and shoulders above even most 8-year-olds; he's a prodigy.

They called the cops on this 3-year-old Black boy because he was kickin the white kids' ass on the soccer field.

The media was an ass back then.

scarylawyerguy.bsky.social@scarylawyerguy.bsky.social

Periodic reminder that the media loudly demanded DETAILED POLICY PLANS (TM) from Kamala Harris while gramps over here is just riffing on asses from behind the seal of the President of the United States. Just a daily embarrassment but this is gold for the media 🙄

If the citizens of Ingram had any sense they'd fire these two cops. How many small businesses have lost customers because of them? How much faster could the town's recovery have gone if not for them? They're not making anyone's life better there.

RoseMarie@rosesbloom24.bsky.social

Ingram was just rebuilding from a devastating flood when its tiny police department enrolled in ICE’s 287(g) deportation program. Within a year, cops would hand over the equivalent of 10% of the town. www.texastribune.org/2026/10/24/d...

The more Trump rambles on about data centers, the better the Democrats' chances in the midterms.

Aaron Rupar@atrupar.com

Trump on data centers: "I say let them come in ... you should really be cool on data centers because you can make a fortune with the data centers" (Note the total silence of the crowd during this rant!)

A little disappointing to see Dem numbers down from 2024 (even if up from 2022), as things are so bad right now. But it's also clear that young Republicans from 2024 were Trump voters, not Republican voters; numbers crashed between 2024 and 2026. (This is early voting, a measure of enthusiasm.)

Dj@djsoke.bsky.social

18-29 turnout by party reg in NC second table is what percentage of total votes is coming from 18-29 voters, overall a meaningfully younger electorate than 2022 so far, but very asymmetric

Good to keep in mind that CNN is now owned by people with a vested interest in making Democrats' electoral prospects seem worse than they actually are.

Things aren't looking great for the Democrats due to all the redistricting cheats by the GOP. As soon as it looks like the Dems are ahead, fewer of them show up to vote. Make sure everyone you know votes for the midterms.

Wasserman's read of the Senate map is overly pessimistic. But he is correct that Fetterman is a loose cannon and that a 51-49 victory by Dems would likely return control of the Senate back to Republicans.

Lori F@tropicaldreamer.bsky.social

It is absolutely shocking, heartbreaking & infuriating that these races are so close given all the corruption, inflation, chaos, immigration & Americans being murdered by masked government ICE agents. Trump is aligned with Putin who helps Iran against us but Al-Sayed is a ‘no way’ vote? WTF?!?

But at least 4 PA GOP House seats are set to flip to Dems; a party switch by Fetterman would reduce his chances of re-election in 2028 to even closer to zero than they are right now. Perhaps he'd switch for spite. It's becoming more important for Dems to win in Kansas, where they have a real shot.

Actually, Hinojosa/Abbot is for TX governor. Good to see Hinojosa is up so much on Abbott (who is a relatively better candidate vs. her than Paxton is vs. Talarico).

You know, MAGA's man policy objectives are "fewer immigrants" and "pissing off the libs". They really don't care about much of anything else. Trouble is you can't run a country on fewer immigrants and pissing off the libs. You can only run it into the ground.
