Nandy-pandy telling us lies Got elected and shit the bed When the BBC needed shutting down Nandy-pandy gave them… …Monthly levies on services that the bbc has no right to force the license fee onto, yet nandy is pushing it for a far right propaganda machine I genuinely wonder if she's self aware

Adam Bienkov@adambienkov.bsky.social

What is the BBC's justification for maintaining this level of coverage of Reform now it has slipped into third place?

@plaidcymru.bsky.social You need to see this. You need to act on this. Juliet brown needs to lose her job Ian green needs to lose his job Iolo dull needs to lose his job No golden goodbyes, no parachutes. These people SHOULD NOT be in healthcare THEY ARE A DANGER TO PATIENTS

NEW: FOI requests reveal NHS Wales used unverified 'family concerns' to stop trans surgeries

I also have some magic beans for sale… Literally parliament has sovereignty, and could repeal the constitutional reform act (2005) to shut down the supreme court as the most extreme solution The least extreme is to accept Scottish ministers as direct contravention of judgements by the higher

Alice Brockway@alicebrockway.bsky.social

Hi Lee. Cis ally here. Got fed wrong information for ages so I've been going out of my way to get facts. - Senior team member from @libertyhq.bsky.social told me the supreme court ruling can't just be overturned as some people have claimed. Burnham could not have come in & simply undone it. 1/6

European Court of Human Rights, something we're still signed up to btw That way the judgement could be declared as per incuriam and made non-binding And brown-hair starmer could fire philipson and streeting, and stephenson from the ehrc But, he won't. Why not, you ask? Because he agrees with them

and the corrupt judgement handed down by the corrupt supreme court. He had the opportunity during his coup d'état to fire the slimy little fuckers and install MPs that aren't compromised by the far right, or who aren't deeply unwell religious extremists and fanatics 🤷 Magic beans, going cheap!

See how easy it is @andyburnham.bsky.social ? You can admit this govt is an abject failure of humanity, fire and remove the whip from philipson, streeting, and a few others, and take the first steps towards fixing this far right mess Or you can admit you're part of the problem by doing nothing

To add; they've clearly *still* not started the "review" after 6 FUCKING WEEKS, and there *still* appears to be no time-binding for it to actually start I'd have been fired 17 ways to fucking Sunday if I showed the level of apathy, not to mention the level of incompetence, they're displaying

@plaidcymru.bsky.social @rhunapiorwerth.bsky.social You need to read this. Every last one of you needs to read this And then read it again. And again. And again until you realise you're part of the problem now Get the NWJCC bought to heel by firing ian green, juliet brown, and iolo dull

Those Ancient Greeks were really onto something when they shoved hope into a jar with all the evils of the world If all you have is hope then you have nothing at all; & that's why it belonged in Pandora's jar; the false promise things will be better if you just buy the magic beans one more time

Today is the only day I will entertain the American date system, but on this first 9-25 Dolly Day, what are you reading? I am getting through Joe Heller's last novel, the sequel to Catch-22, Closing Time

So it gets even worse than not being able to identify literally any evidence that could justify cancelling surgery; what pathetically miniscule 'evidence' they have was raised in July by GDNRSS. Not only were the cancellations not justified at any time, the evil fucks sat on their 'best evidence'

River no. 1,789 (she/they)@legoenby.bsky.social

If there was high enough risk, and it was imminent enough to justify cancelling surgeries, they should have escalated this firstly to the Welsh govt per their own operational frameworks. It appears the NWJCC couldn't identify that level of risk, yet cancelled surgeries anyway.

*for an entire month* before acting on it, such was the urgency to maintain patient safety thru surgery cancellations If there truly is justification to cancel surgeries on a patient safety basis, how many people did they put at risk by not acting on the information in July when they received it??

None of the points they presented made any sense at all *thru a good faith lens* Family complaints? Who the fuck cares once someone meets the base >18 criteria; the patient is legally and reasonably able to consent without parental input at that point. GDNRSS? So what if Wales refers more people?

That just tells me England is failing their patients by not referring them for surgery- and we know that's because they're grossly underfunded to the point of conversion abuse via budgetary means. English gics literally run out of budget ½-¾ of the way thru budgetary periods, which reduces referrals

*But didn't identify any unsafe practices or any risk that trans patients are facing by having gender affirming surgeries

Owen Blacker@owen.blacker.me.uk

Ian Green reiterating that it was a clinical decision. Iolo Doull, medical direction of the NWJCC reiterating that they are completely committed to gender-affirming surgery "but the trans community deerves just as much safety as other communities and this is a decision made on safety grounds"

To add, if they were able to identify unsafe practices they woulda been all over it like a bad rash; it woulda been embarrassing how much they smothered themselves in glory for their "findings" They showed nothing. no safety issues, no untoward or preternatural levels of risk. Yet they cxl'd anyway

It's not good enough. They avoided the question regarding what happens if the review finds any (see: all) of the 60 patients were "inappropriate referrals" and they lose their surgical pathway entirely These people need firing. How they're still in nhs jobs right now is entirely beyond me

Cwiar Cymru@cwiar.org

NEW: NHS Wales has confirmed that trans patients will NOT go to the back of the waitlist after surgery cancellations - the original referral date will still be honoured.

I've stayed on; tell me I'm wrong but they haven't addressed the public q's yet? I sent in some very specific questions regarding this which they have not addressed at all They didn't even address the "what happens if any (see: all) of the 60 priority patients are found inappropriate" question

"How do we best help trans people thru this?" Well, commissioner, you start by fucking resigning They found nothing but the nebulous and undefinable "potential harm" yet are committed to transgender healthcare. What a fucking liar she is.

I do believe the legal term for Scottish ministers is not "unassailable" but "per incuriam", especially since hodge wrote that unhinged anti gay marriage screed in 2016, and just happens to be chums with a certain funder of anti trans lawsuits

Peter Walker@peterwalker99.bsky.social

First speaker against the motion, Cllr Mark Johnston from Reigate, argues that nothing should distract the Lib Dems from their purpose of ensuring Nigel Farage doesn't become PM. This means realism, he says: "That realism means accepting the supreme court determination last year is unassailable."

"we have always been bastards to women and OAPs, in particular by underpaying them – which they have always accepted – therefore this traditional discrimination behoves us to maintain this status quo. This may upset some of you, and some of you may die, but that's a sacrifice we are willing to make"

NevereverDave.bsky.social@nevereverdave.bsky.social

Similar to what 40 years of deliberately underpaid women faced in having equal pay claims rejected, prolonged, then denied, or [full & final] amorally settled for an infinitesimally tiny fraction of eventual settlements. Cost millions & people died, OAP etc. Shrugged their 'professional' shoulders!

Hi trans person here. You seem to be have been caught off-guard to the UK governments love and want for fascism. Would you like help with that or will my uncontrollable laughter suffice?

George Monbiot@georgemonbiot.bsky.social

You might ask yourself “whose side are they on?”. You might not like the answer, but it becomes hard to deny. So why? Why, when we know that appeasing the far right empowers and builds it, do they keep doing it, alienating their base and helping to deliver the country to Reform or Restore?

No candidate, regardless of party, will ever get my vote if they call me a "biological man" and advocate for laws targeting my community. Its that simple.

I wonder if there's someone who could maybe talk about how well a far-right grift does after a preternaturally mediocre music career, maybe also share some tips and tricks with the boys about improving their music career, up to the dizzying heights of "not-quite-mediocre" like she barely managed?

Go on Burnham, proscribe them as a terrorist organisation. If you can do it to something that's not even a threat, you can do it to a bunch of masked, lagered-up, coke-head fascists.

The Ockenden Review found, out of a cohort of 2,500, over 500 mothers and newborns came to avoidable harm during the maternity process. Out of these were 162 avoidable deaths It found many systematic failures within the service; a service that remained open at all times despite the evidence

The NHS Wales JCC seemingly cannot find even a paperclip not placed properly yet shut the WGS down so fast it almost breached causality of the universe We're seeing in real-time the institutional anti-trans discrimination at the highest levels in the NHS. The NWJCC needs clearing out. Fuck them

Andy Burnham has put devolution at the heart of his agenda. Plaid Cymru is calling on him to give Wales powers over policing, rail and the Crown Estate so that our communities can prosper. But is he already backtracking on his openness to devolution to Wales? 👀
