openai should invite nathan fielder and a camera crew to live in their office and document everything they do

Apple Vision Pros are still really expensive, but they're also really good, and in the era of Opus 5.5 it's really fun to make apps for them. This feels incredible in immersive 3D.

A big fist bump between Signature Aviation's fueler and the Eastern Air Express captain flying yesterday's ICE Air flight at MSP. They took away 24 shackled migrants from their homes around the Twin Cities. If a loved one may have been aboard, full video is here: youtube.com/watch?v=1-xmZiNEhC4

Today's routine coastal patrol by Swedish Coast guard aircraft. Strictly a routine track - no loops or u-turns. The lack in coverage east of Gotland is common. Exercise in the morning? This animation more a proof of concept of capability of my bespoke system than any added intel =)

I made base-1353 encoding, so I can fit 256-bit values, like “96cca2a0c8a3263c74ef36274abf55f410d992034d16e8285811a9ad3fc59c13”, into short 26 character strings, like “ᓒᔳᣏዧᐎᑙᖜዌᙔᐸƫȶƃᒨዊጶᙵኻѫyፐᎉᑫᖫᘪᒩ”. (Also, I think these sigils are beautiful.) johnservil.github.io/sigil/play.h...

I was told the scary computer security warnings from Anthropic et al were just marketing. Or was it that this wouldn’t be happening if they just sandboxed correctly, right?

I made two wrong guesses what the final product would be. And for a how-it's-made-type video there were twice the usual number of steps where I was like, "wow, they do _that_!?" Including the very last step.

I'm quantifying exactly how much camera I'd need in order to see an adequate number of cool aircraft at an acceptable quality at three different potential sites.

Even if this were viable as a concept (that there's an afterlife; that it allows conversations with others; that enslavers are going the same place as you), who cares? Oh, are you mad at me, Ben Franklin? Tough shit.

I like to mention the specific models I use because 1. it helps people who aren't deep into AI understand what to expect from one and 2. it amuses me to picture future me using UltraClaude 42 see a post where I'm using Opus 5.5 and be horrified at what crap it was and wonder how I got anything done.

The preview feature lets the agent fly a proposed plan change ahead of time, in a simplified flight model (not X-Plane), to see what happens. 15 minutes of simulated time takes less than a second of real time.

The pilot agent actually writes code to manipulate the goals and constraints of lower-level control systems, which I think is pretty cool: remain(south_of(road("the 118"))).until(turning(p.base))

And when ATC asked if it could switch from landing on 16R to 16L, the pilot agent did a quick simulation of the proposal to determine if the new plan could be safely flown. "verdict: looks flyable"

I think Claude nailed that trailer–Now I need to make a game worthy of it. Anyway, of course Claude came up with a music generation language and system to compose the trailer's score.

spent a whole day tuning flight/combat feel of this dumb little demo and this is the first time ive made a game with astra thats actually really fun to play and its all just basic ace combat shit im so excited to start adding my BIG IDEAS now

David is inspiring me to learn a lot more about NISAR, Sentinel, and satellite data in general.

David@puca.bsky.social

Comparison of NISAR Frequency A (cf 1.2575 GHz) & Sentinel 1 (cf 5.405 GHz) synthetic aperture radar views of Pankovo, Novaya Zemlya on 15th of October 2026. Different bands, but the RFI "glow" from the site is visible in NISAR, while the strong RF interference bands are striking in Sentinel 1.

I like this too. bsky.app/profile/matt...

What route should you take from the blue pin to the red pin, if you need to cross the road to touch the far side in between? You want the fastest route, but counting time on the road for double that on the pavement - it is more dangerous. you will rediscover the laws for reflection and refraction!

While an agent running on 150 off-brand Android TVs might be less capable than a frontier model, a frontier model can give the lesser agents an encyclopedia of cyber attacks, custom offensive tools, knowledge of network topology etc. to increase their capabilities.

"Sources disagree on the tower's location—one puts it at the field's northeast corner, another marks it at the administration building. I'll check the satellite imagery directly for a telltale shadow." Claude, I love your enthusiasm, but really just a rough estimate would have been fine.
