Kudos to New Mexico and its Attorney General for pursuing litigation against Meta over the Cambridge Analytica data harvesting scandal of 2018. As a result, Meta has been ordered to Pay $25 billion in penalties in a case brought by New Mexico.

I’ve been sprinkling small-dollar donations to Democratic candidates all fall and felt like I was pretty much tapped out. But the story of Vivek’s latest ad, getting Amy Acton’s mom to attack her, motivated me to chip in another $10.00 for Amy.

❗❗❗Mark Zuckerberg's meta just suspended the No Kings Instagram account. I just rushed back from my local No Kings to jump on this. Bottom line, would be helpful for all pro-No Kings folks to elevate the issue and help us get the word out about No Kings today. The Nerd Reich strikes again.

Good news/Bad news joke: The good news is that the USS Abraham Lincoln is back in port in San Diego after its overlong deployment to the Persian Gulf. The bad news is that Trump says it’s OK with him if Iran bombs San Diego.

Annie Andrews, running for Senate in SC, just came out with a great direct-to-camera ad responding to slurs about her. I’m going to donate to her to help get it on the air.

TALARICO: “The richest 1% now owns more wealth than the entire middle class. 3 dudes (Musk, Zuckerberg, Bezos) now own more wealth than 165 million Americans combined… they aren’t just buying yachts and jets anymore. They’re now buying power.” 🇺🇸 (From @teamtalaricohq.bsky.social )

One month out the GOP is desperately pushing every hot button issue in their tool box (from caravans to trans athletes) but to no avail. Why? The people are really pissed and want to register that dissatisfaction. They know they only have once every two years to do so and won’t be distracted.

The phrase, “The inmates are in charge of the asylum” has become a cliche. It occurs to me that a similar phrase could aptly describe Trump 2.0, “The delinquents are in charge of the high school.” In this case, the “high school” is the DOJ, the WH or any number of federal agencies.

"A brand new CNN poll shows President Trump at an all time low in his approval rating... look at his net approval rating now with pure independents - it's negative 71 points! I mean, these are the deep depths of the ocean. You never see numbers like these. An 86 point shift away from the president!"

Today, Country First released a new ad. I'm a veteran, and I won't stand by while Trump turns our Military into a political weapon. Troops don't belong at polling locations. Yet Trump refuses to rule it out. Keeping our Military away from the Ballot Box isn't partisan, It's American.

“We are fed up with ICE & DHS telling us lies… NO MORE TRAFFIC STOPS BY ICE.” Wilber’s lawyer says he was sideswiped and shot by ICE without any clue who they even were — and ICE then immediately lied about what happened (again)

The unfolding story of the Kennedy Center is not the most important thing in today’s news, but it reveals a key aspect of Trump’s psyche: Like a petulant child, what he cannot control he destroys. He has no insight into this and no self-control. He is impetuous and spiteful and without conscience.

Trump’s trade war with Canada is literally insane. The American and Canadian economies are so tightly integrated that it’s like having a trade war with ourself. If that isn’t insane, I don’t know what is.

In Hegseth, as in Trump, we have the perfect union of ignorance and arrogance. Unlike ordinary people who are ignorant of something these guys are not open to learning from people who know. Rejecting experts is part of their swaggering style. They refuse to learn even when the teacher is experience.

I wish the NYT had half the courage Mark Carney has. For example, the NYT has ample material to do a story on Trump’s mental decline, which becomes more obvious by the day. But they don’t. They didn’t hang back when it came to Biden though.

What is new is that the political instinct has been overwhelmed by his narcissism, which has become delusional. For example, he has repeatedly dismissed Americans concerns about inflation. That tone deafness is catching up with him.

BREAKING: After the Washington Post fired me last year for speaking the truth in the wake of the Charlie Kirk killing, I fought back. And I'm happy to announce: I won my case against the Washington Post. They have been ordered to reinstate me immediately. www.nytimes.com/2026/08/24/b...

nytimes.comWashington Post Ordered to Rehire Fired Columnist Karen AttiahAn arbitrator ordered the newspaper to reinstate Karen Attiah, who was fired after posting about “white men who espouse hatred and violence” following Charlie Kirk’s killing.

Trump is many bad things. I could write down a long list. But at the top of the list is Bully, someone who takes advantage of his greater size, power, money, etc to dominate and humiliate anyone he perceives as smaller, weaker, poorer, etc.

+34 on Election Day. -4 now. Nothing says “buyer’s remorse” quite like a 38-point receipt. This is the base that delivered Donald Trump in 2016 and again in 2024, ouch.

NEWS --> Dems are launching an investigation into Trump's corrupt prosecutions for "vandalism" of Reflecting Pool. They're demanding access to WH-DOJ communications and more. “Participants in this frame-up will be held to account," Jamie Raskin tells me. New piece: newrepublic.com/article/2141...
